You cleared like 8 million in cap space, the fact that you gave up a top 20 pick for that is fucking insane. That's a pretty funny argument to make. If you revert Payne to him being a top 20 draft pick, then consider he's receiving a #1 overall pick and a #2 overall pick in this trade as well. So.. what a steal by JR right? Also, why do we have to be so damn angry and negative all the time? I think it's really affecting how much fun this place should be. We can disagree and argue about basketball without attacking and insulting each other. |

The sad part is if this was a trade with a non TC Gm...The trade would have passed if you think about it. Its only rejectable being decided like this? Was i not suppose to rebuild? Was i not supposs to get two future all stars. The bench could be better but you never know. And if the big 3 play average..i just hope i havd enough games left...it is what it is...

I think opinions on this trade will sway from one GM to another solely based on the worth that GM places on Bennett. Third team in three years, sent down to the d league, I think we've seen everything there is to see on him. When I look at Bennett I don't see an asset.
With that out of the way, JR only gets about 5.5 mill in savings in this deal. No one is going to convince me that he needed to give up a lotto pick from what looks like a really good draft to save that amount of money.
I reject.

JR has done a goo job prepping himself for a rebuild. I don't love the deal for him but its not enough to reject. Especially not if you let Larry trade away Reggie Jackson.

I've really been marinating on this. Time to vote. Bennett is Beasley 2.0, but with LESS of a proven track record. A lot less. Ian, you're just too damn smooth of a negotiator. I love you man, but I think this trade is bad for JR. I'm very on the edge of if it's "bad enough to reject" or not, but I can't shake it, so here it comes. Reject. |

We save cap trading away Chris Kaman. 2. Between the cap saved and Bynums contract coming off the books, we should have enough to resign Reggie Jackson(our top priority) and maybe Derrick Williams as well and or a FA in OSFA. 3. Anthony Bennette eventually earns playing time on an NBA team. ---Cameron Payne for Jackson, Williams and a FA possibly. Worst Case: Same thing but Benette never plays. --'---- Without the trade, less money for FA and less chance to sign both Jackson and Williams. Is the trade better or worse for SA?? Answer: The trade is best for our franchise!! |

If i get fair votes from most gms I feel its more fair. Those gms that are on and talk and the time and get into everyone's business and are the ones im sure i have beefs with. And getting an unbiased vote from them is like not posting the trade at all. If everyone votes we get a fair shot at the trade being voted on honestly!! Thats how i see it |

I'm going to switch to a Reject since it actually looks close. This trade is ridiculous, 29 out of 30 GMs in this league know that Payne has light years of value more than Bennett.

For me personally I would take me from a meh accept to an alright I can see that type of accept. I think that Cameron Payne is OK. Clearly he has a spot in the league. But it still doesn't approach the upside if Bennett even reaches 3/4th his potential. Is it likely, no. But this is the kind of low risk upside play that a rebuilding team should be making. Payne is overrated being the only other perimeter olayer on the OKC Thunder other than Westbrook or Kevin Durant who is worth a damn on offense right now. |

It's 4-4, then there was a "vote" from Charles Barkley before the trade went to league vote where he rejected it. If that counts as a vote, then the trade is rejected. If it doesn't count then the trade passes because league vote ties get passed.
This is the closest a trade has ever been to the line between accept and reject, and all the fuss is over four players that don't matter at all. Weird.
