NBA Draft time people! I'm doing the same thing I did last year for the upcoming draft. With the early entry deadline passed, I now have my top 150 NCAA prospects. I pull the same stats for everyone and try to compare apples to apples so I only have NCAA guys included here. So I'm not crazy, Luka Doncic does make my top 150, he's just not included here. This is also unranked right now, I'll figure out my rankings later, but I figured I'd post this in case anyone here cared to take a look. Here you go:

After an untold number of hours working on this, just in time for the draft, here is my ranked big board: Some comments: - Again, only NCAA prospects are included here. Doncic would slide in at number 4 or 5 on the list, I'm not entirely sure. - I like all of the top 5 guys (Ayton, Bagley, Jackson, Bamba and Doncic) and can honestly see arguments for any of them to go #1. They're almost more ranked 1a, 1b, etc. as opposed to 1, 2, etc. - The next best prospects imo are Wendell Carter and Mikal Bridges. I'm a huge fan of both of them. I think they'll both probably end up better than at least one of the guys above them. Of course you can't know who at this point, but they both have quite high floors, but lower ceilings than the guys above. One of the top guys likely won't reach their potential though, Bamba is the most likely of the group to be that guy imo. - I didn't know what to do with Michael Porter Jr. so I stuck him at the end of my "elite" tier. Those top 7 (plus Doncic) are a little cut above the rest in terms of draft stock for me. - I'm not a big fan of Trae Young, if I ended up with him I'd want to trade him to someone that's in love with him. That pull up jimbo is lethal, but I question whether he's athletic enough to beat NBA defenders, and he finishes poorly around the rim. Defenses can just play tight on him to guard the shot and I'm skeptical he has the tools to make guys pay for it. - The draft really opens up for me once we get out of the lottery. I think it's a deep draft and there will be talent available from the mid first well into the second round. My rankings start to lose their meaning because of this. The gap from 5-8 to 15-18 is larger than from 15-18 to guys in the 40s. - Kevin Knox, Lonnie Walker and Troy Brown are very dangerous prospects imo, especially the latter two. They all had bad years but they're hyped up because pass the eye test. Knox I can see the appeal, he has some nice skills that I think can be put together, even if he didn't play great. Walker and Brown less so. I don't believe Walker is as athletic as is hyped, and he's not actually that great at anything. He seems like a guy with good but not great skills that could easily fall through the cracks. Brown is then a 3-and-D potential guy, but his D wasn't elite though, and he has no 3. He's got the physical tools, I think it will take a while for him to build the rest, if he ever does. - Kostas Antetokounpo is a tantalizing prospect when it comes to the eye test. He's tall, long, athletic and very fluid. Problem is he sucked balls at actually playing basketball this year. Most of these types of guys fail, but every once in a while one overcomes their lack of talent because of their freak athletic abilities. I stuck him at 50 because he's worth wasting a late second rounder to find out if you can win the lottery on him. - Mystery Man! My 17th ranked player is a secret. I didn't think it would be possible to get a guy I liked so much with the 54th pick, but looking at mock drafts, I rarely see him mentioned. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag on him, so I'm keeping him to myself.

Ethan Happ or Xavier Cooks? Are these guesses about who the mystery man is? Happ withdrew from the draft and returned to Wisconsin. Cooks is on the list, and may or may not be the mystery man.

What on that board causes you to put MPJ above nyone. His stats are terrible.

What on that board causes you to put MPJ above nyone. His stats are terrible. he was a monster and highschool and got hurt this year in college. He's athletic and has the ideal NBA body. I still wouldn't touch him in the top 7 tho

What on that board causes you to put MPJ above nyone. His stats are terrible. Well he only played in 3 games fresh off an injury. His stats are meaningless.
