I joked about this earlier. Now with the draft done and no reason to hide info, here is my big board.
I only ranked the top 50, because I think rankings beyond that point don't really matter. The difference between the 55th guy and the 75th guy is negligible. Even of the guys I ranked, I don't see too much difference among the bottom half because many are very different players who I like or dislike for different reasons. Everyone outside the top 50 is just ordered based on their total plus-minus.
I also don't have any international prospects. It's difficult or near impossible to get stats on these guys, and when you do, it's not even an equal comparison. Stats in the ACB league need to be weighted a lot differently than in the Israeli league, or somewhere else that's weird and without a healthy league with lots of competition. I just ignored all of it.
Of the international guys, Frank Ntilinka, Jonah Bolden and Anzejs Pasecniks would be in my top 30. Hartenstein, Lessort and Vezenkov are decent. I didn't give much thought to the others. Overall it seems like a down year for international prospects.
Some quick takes:
Players I really like (relative to their draft stock):
Josh Jackson
Zach Collins
OG Anunoby
Justin Patton
Sleeper Picks:
Josh Hart
Derrick White
Jawun Evans
Johnathan Motley
Sindarius Thornwell
Nigel Williams-Goss
Dillon Brooks
Super Sleeper Picks:
Derrick Walton
Eric Mika
Jacob Wiley
Paris Lee
Bust Picks:
DJ Wilson
Jarrett Allen
Tyler Lydon
Wesley Iwundu
Jabari Bird
VJ Beachem
Kobi Simmons
So far Johnathan Motley seems the most out of place among the guys I'm really high on. I'm very surprised he went undrafted, though apparently he had a red flag with his knees during his medical. He signed a 2 way contract with the Mavericks, so we'll see how it works out.
So far none of the guys I'm really low on have done anything to convince me otherwise, but of course we're still just a few games into summer league.
Based on my scouting the Indiana Pacers had the worst draft in D5. He took DJ Wilson, Jarrett Allen and Tyler Lydon. They all suck imo, and Frank Mason will be his best rookie. On the other end, I really like Memphis' draft. Donovan Mitchell, Jawun Evans and Jonah Bolden were all really good picks.
