How much of Curry plays a factor into his success?

How much of Curry plays a factor into his success? I thought about the same thing. It's hard for me to determine based off the fact that every player on that team is above average. 86.

He is a freaking beast. I love Dray so much I've never regretted something as much as not signing him in the offseason.
He may be the best defender in the NBA given his versatility and his offensive game is really really good too. He bangs threes and is a terrific passer. Not to mention his mentality is so hard nosed. 89 he's so terrific.

The part of me that doesn't want to get yelled at by some people wants to stay conservative and put in an 89, but since that will likely be one of the high votes and essentially get thrown out, I'll go with my actual feeling on this and put in a 91 right now.
Rebounds like one of the better bigs in the league. Passes like one of the better PG's in the league, and has a pretty good handle to boot. High offensive awareness. Quite possibly the best defender in the league and gets a good chunk of steals and blocks too. Decent 3pt shot that needs to be accounted for (it is in his ratings, I'm just saying it needs to be in there along with all this other stuff!). He not only does a lot of these things, he's REALLY GOOD at a lot of these things.

Draymond is a great guy but put him on any other team in the league and I don't think he's posting triple-doubles.

85.
He's been shooting 29% from three since the All-Star break, bringing his average closer to his career average of 34%. He also scores just 14 points per game. You can turn him into a point forward, but he's limited offensively, and clearly not the type of player that can carry a team by himself. I'm still not convinced he plays anything like this on any other team.

Good lord... 90?! Really?!
As with the Kevin Love saga of 18 months ago, 89+ ratings are reserved for superstars or players who have led their teams to championships. I get that Draymond is a huge part of the Warriors success, but he's not 90 imho.

Does harden have a ring? Does Paul George have a ring? Does ad have a ring? All these guys are rated 89+ right (too busy to look)?

Honestly I think he's a more important player for the Warriors than Klay Thompson. However I don't believe that he'd replicate this sort of thing on say the jazz or something. He would still be good but hes not a player with any elite skill. Elite passer for the 4 spot but thats about it.

I feel as though his success could not be replicated in 85% of the other teams in this league, either because of poor coaching or the wrong teammates.
With that being said, you can't disregard what he does just because he is in a good system for him.

The thing with Dray is that he is good in almost every category. Good physical stats, good passing, shooting, inside, dunk, defense. He is a 5x5 threat every night.
That means he needs A LOT of points, but it also means that his OVR should look inflated to properly account for everything he does.
Do-it-all players need higher OVRs than what should look necessary to account for all of their abilities.

vine.co/v/ijrQBvlddpHHow easy is it to be an elite defender when you can literally body check people and not get called for a foul? Ref just shrugs. I really hope the NBA doesn't give the Warriors bullshit favoritism to help them get the record, somehow I think they will though, it's too good of a story, and too much hype for the playoffs.

Yea... that's the only way he knows to play defense. Super sample size bias to illustrate your point! For what it's worth, I hate seeing bad calls and favoritism, just saying, he IS a great defender. That play was crazy though

Of all the professional sports leagues, excluding FIFA, I think the NBA would be most likely to "fix" something like this. The lottery system just reeks of corruption. And considering the games right now really don't matter, I think the NBA would do something like this. Also, when you're playing at home, the refs give you calls, or don't call things, especially when you're a winning team with a huge fan base. A ref doesn't want to be boo'd if he misses a call. Also I am hugely skeptical of all the refs since the Mob Ref.

Yea, I don't really think there is some conspiracy or actual instructions do to anything, but everybody at the NBA definitely wants them to break the record. It's an entertainment business, how can they not want the most entertaining story lines? That will filter down and affect the way games are reffed, consciously or subconsciously. It's the same reason stars get beneficial calls from the refs.
