Current Rating: 84
Suggested Rating: 78
Right? 84 is crazy, right?

I don't care what has rated as long as he shoots sub 50% and fairly bad in FTs. He just got a double double last night with rebounds in only 24 minutes.

I still love Rondo, I don't see why he gets a decrease. Back when he was averaging a triple-double during the Playoffs I would've made a case that he was an 89 or 90, but now that he's a mere mortal I don't see why he's lower than 80.
Keep him at 84 imho.

So guards that shoot less than 40% and less than 35% FT and occasionally get a double double are rated an 84?
Anyone want to stack up Rondos numbers (both this year and last year) against people rated lower than him? I figured it was a given that 84 is egregiously too high for him.

Like how does anyone justify rondo being rated higher than tyreke Evans or kemba walker? They get just as many assists and rebounds, triples his point total, and shoot drastically better from the floor and the stripe.

I don't believe Rondo is an 84, but we're six games into the season. Their play doesn't mean a thing yet. We need to wait until we get like 20 games minimum to start to draw conclusions.

I will say this. I'm not against people putting in Stock Watch threads on guys who are continuing a trend from last season. If they turn it around before the start of our season then just throw it out.

Who wins in a game of horse, DeAndre Jordan or Tristan Thompson? All shot attempts must be at least 8 feet away from the hoop.

Probably Tristan just based on his shooting motion.

4th trip-dub in 5 games.
I'd honestly give him an 87 right now.

So, I'm doing some ratings work. Looking at Rondo, and this thread would take him down to an 82. But, looking at his individual numbers, I really can't "allow/support" this. Yes, his Passing/Dribbling are already at insane levels, same as his steal and awarenesses. But, at one point or another we took his 3PT SO FAR down, it now needs to be brought up a bit, and I can't execute that while taking him down two OVR points. In conjunction with some other areas (his rebounding #'s really aren't high enough in his ratings, at all, tbh), I'm almost having trouble keeping him at an 84 and not raising him.
So, since he needs a look-see based on his current ratings, I'm gonna keep him at an 84 but give him a work-over. You'll see the results when we're done.

This is dumb, we voted him an 82 but now our votes don't matter? He might put up stats, but they are empty stats, thus why people are voting to lower him. One person's opinion does not trump the votes of the entire league. The RC is already sketchy enough by tricking GMs and moving the ghost 'injury' rating up and down to impact the player's overall, but this takes it to a whole new level. The ghost rating gets re edited to 70 each time, or at least it should be. Only in older changes/builds is it different than 70.

Yea what is this? We can't open the door where Walt can just ignore the votes. If Rondo is first, who's next? And how often will this start happening? As long as our system is one where we average out all the votes, then we have to go with the votes, no matter what. It doesn't really matter if one person thinks some ratings are off.
If we'll go down that road then just let me independently set the ratings for all the players, I think I'd do a better job than giving everyone a fair vote. Ya'll don't know what you're talking about. So give me the role of stockwatch dictator. Deal?

I haven't even voted, a lot of other haven't as well. I'd give Rondo an 83 right now. He's having his best season in years. He's still one of the worst shooting point guards of this generation though, and the Kings suck.
So the votes are:
78, 79, 80, 83, 84, 85, 87 = 82.2
Rondo is still at an 82.
