With House of Cards airing today, I just thought I would ask all of you to refrain from leaking any details about what happens. This comes at a time where TV is about to peek, House of Cards now, then Game of Thrones, then a new True Detective.
Furthermore, summer movies are always great and no one wants them ruined.
I just figured I would make this statement as a reminder to all of you, that if you watch these tv shows, please refrain from spoiling them from everyone else. Feel free to discuss it in trade chat, just as long as everyone is up to speed. No one wants to know who dies next in GoT without having seen it.
Thank you. I know this message probably doesn't need conveyed, but, I just thought it would courteous to remind everyone. I surely appreciate, as I imagine many other GMs would as well.

House of Cards is awesome.
Game of Thrones is ok, I went through and read ALL the books and didn't like them, lol.

Zoe Barnes comes back as a zombie.
Damn Ian, each book is like 1000 pages. It takes months to read them all. Why would you keep going if you don't like them?

Someone spoiled the end of Breaking Bad for me the day I was planning on finishing the series.. = Worst day ever, and I haven't been able to finish the last few episodes because of it.

As a TV fanatic, I feel really bad for you, like really bad. Those first few seasons were a pain to get thru then it got really good and to have someone spoil it for you is a shame. It'd be like having sex, nearly reaching vinegar strokes and having your roommate interrupt you.

Honestly, I think the ending of Breaking Bad was obvious. Right from the first episode it has to end with his death. The guy can't get cancer, go all Pablo Escobar, then live happily ever after. It wouldn't make sense and would be a cheap cop out.
None of that made Breaking Bad any less amazing though. One of the best shows ever.

He was always supposed to die, that's why they gave him terminal cancer. But the success of the show made it so they had to play it out longer. They also had written in that Jesse was supposed to be killed at the end of season 1 or 2, I forget which. But the fans liked him so they didnt kill him off then.

I'm glad they didn't though. I like Jesse as a character more than Walt. He was a much better person but was trapped by circumstance. It's good he got a happy(ish) ending.

Yeah, I feel like Jesse was a way more relatable character to most viewers, as well as myself. Walt was great too but he didn't connect as much with me as Jesse did.

House of Cards Season 3 is a bit shitty imho. I'm up to episode 10 now. Episode 9 was awful. It's like the government took control of script writing or something.

I think it`s still good. But it doesn't have the same edge. Frank's America Works thing is a completely unsustainable program that wouldn't actually work, so there's that, but what's weird is that Frank seems to actually care about people now. In the first two seasons he cared as long they continued to benefit him and not a second longer. This season there are a lot of moral aspects that don't work that well with the character. Vladimir Putin Petrov is kind of that guy in this season and he's way more interesting.

No one's mentioning Dexter as an all time great TV show and I'm saddened. I started Breaking Bad but it was O bad compared to Dex.

The first seasons of Dexter were awesome. But I haven't even watched the last season because of how much the show declined and how bad I hear it is.

If you know the character of Dexter, and understand his thought processes behind it. It is a perfect ending. Everything about it. What season did you stop? Season 3 is weak and so is 5/6. 7/8 are awesome. Some slow parts, but that's to be true with any season of the show. Season 1 started pretty slow, season 2 starts semi slow minus some of the parts about Rudy. Season 8 is my favorite season of any TV show. Plus I have a mild crush on Hannah McKay.

You are the worlds biggest troll if you think breaking bad was worse than dexter. The later seasons and finale were just trash. I'm not gonna spoil it bc this thread is called "no spoilers" but the writers of that show destroyed dexters character and really wrote the most absurd pointless and nonsensical ending of any TV show I've ever watched. It's so bad that in one of the final episodes the writers included a death of one character by way of a pen stabbing - acknowledging they killed that sho.

The character became a loose cannon. That's true to who he was when his world started crumbling. Think to season 2 when he kidnapped Doakes. It's pretty accurate the whole way through(minus Season 3/5.) Season 3 doesn't make sense. Season 5 is boring but Julia Stiles is sexy. Tick Tick Tick that's the sound of your life ticking away. Great quote.

I'll stick my oar in and say that I thought Dexter and Breaking Bad were both shit! And I managed to watch 3 seasons of Breaking Bad since everyone ranted about its awesomeness, but I didn't particularly enjoy any of it.
The Wire, now there's a TV show for the ages.
