D5 Hall of Fame Induction - Jeremiah HillToday we take some time out to honour the eight year veteran GM who built the modern D5 Memphis Grizzlies in our second ever Hall of Fame thread! Since joining as a GM here at D5 there were very few who were so active at the heart of the D5 community as Jeremiah Hill. At the time of his retirement, and still now, Jeremiah Hill has the third highest post-count in all of D5 behind only the two most active staff members (Ian and Walt). A candidate for Executive of the Year two years running, in both 2017 and 2018, Jeremiah Hill's Memphis Grizzlies were primarily built via elite-level drafting, being the only GM to have drafted two Rookie of the Year's in a row; Karl-Anthony Towns in 2015 and Nikola Jokic in 2016, Jeremiah followed those up by drafting another All Star talent the next year with Donovan Mitchell in 2017! Known also for his love of Matthew Dellavedova and being part of the " The Kings of Ohio" D5 Crime Family, Dynasty Five is sad to see one of the best characters of our league leave our ranks! Good luck for everything in the future, Jeremiah, you'll always be welcome back, but for now you take your place in the Hall of Fame!

Similar to how Ian pioneered tanking at D5, or how Alex consistently hit on trading for young players in the early years of the league, I tend to think of Jeremiah as a visionary-level drafter at D5. He had it figured out years before the rest of us, and was able to build a powerhouse because of it.
Congrats Jeremiah, well deserved.

Similar to how Ian pioneered tanking at D5 I learned everything I know from former Bobcats GM, Lukas Lutkus

Similar to how Ian pioneered tanking at D5 I learned everything I know from former Bobcats GM, Lukas Lutkus I was going to say... except I think a lot of the credit goes to his Assistant GM, Sam Bowie. He was constantly having opposing GMs throw in 1st and 2nd Rounders in trades where they did not need to be involved, lol. When I started as GM in the summer of 2013, the Hornets had all their 1st rounders, 4 other 1st rounders, and 4 2nd rounders, having finished bottom 5 two years in a row. Then I traded Kemba for two more 1sts, finished bottom 5 one more time, got the #1 overall, and the rest is history.

Thank you so much for this honor. I check in every now and then. Check out Donovan Mitchell now. I think we're all better GMs than the real ones for the most part outside of Dan Marjerl.
I really do appreciate this Ian. I love you!
