The only question that matters: do NBA players take longer than 6 weeks to recover from an ACL tear? The answer is yes, so stop making me waste my time. As I discussed, and as you even posted yourself by quoting James Kay, this question only begins to matter if you feel that all of the other evidence about him coming back in the finals is fabricated or incorrect. I am yet to see a convincing case as to how we have concluded that the only actual evidence we have is incorrect.

To be honest I would prefer Kawhi to be playing - it would make winning the Conf Finals extra sweet, and if I lose you'd get an asterisk next to your victory, there'd be no pressure on me. I'd be happy to allow Kawhi to play this round except it would be hugely unfair to GSW or HOU if you made the Finals. Most importantly though, bringing Kawhi back would make a mockery of the injury system we already have in place, allowing exceptions to the rule in future whenever somebody harasses me enough, trying to get me to accept that 2+2=5.
I actually feel like the biggest complication is that I have to enforce the rules and I'm the one who stands to "benefit" from the rules.
Frankly I'm also super happy to stick to my guns on this one. I know whoever wins this series will have done so fair and square.

I’m confused why this is even a discussion. He partially tore his ACL, had surgery, and was out the last 8 games. There’s no question that had this happened sooner he would have been shut down for the season.
