I think Detroit made out like a bandit. Sabonis is All-Star level today. The pick could be a huge bust. Kanter's contract is bad but it doesn't ruin anything for Detroit's timeline and right when Detroit could be setting themselves up to be contenders with Ayton, Sabonis, White, this top 2 pick plus any further moves they make, they will have Miami's 1st in 2023, which is looking like it could be a pretty deep draft. Not to mention Miami may still be a bottom team if things don't work out well for them before then.
