What exactly is the point of this trade, Larry?
You’re giving up a lottery pick and the best player involved for Shamet, Brooks, and Frank all of whom are going to be out of a position this time next season. I can see brooks being decent but he was hurt this past season, who really knows how he will be going forward. The Knicks have Frank, DSJ, and Mudiay and just drafted a ball dominant wing.
To compensate, you’re getting two seconds and a late first future pick?

Also Dillon Brooks had an excellent rookie season but was unfortunately injured for most of the 2nd season, both are definitely better than Hart and will probably be better than Prince at 25. Not to mention you can find at 20 the same level of talent next year that you find at 12 this year. 4 second round picks feels like a fair compensation to go from 20 to let's say 26. Imo Indy killed this deal

GMs so desperate to trade out of this draft that they’re willing to take a loss just to get rid of lottery picks

I'm confused, who do you think it's the best player in the deal?

I think there's enough on the larger side to make up for the possible quality loss on the smaller side. Not the type of trade I would personally go for usually but sometimes getting more draft darts works out.
