Really like the value here too of Porter— I do worry what his medicals say with him going undrafted and still unsigned. Feels like a guy who will land with his brother in Denver or another team willing to slowly bring him along (Miami, perhaps?)

I almost took porter or McDaniels as I had porter ranked ahead of him. I just couldn’t do it due to the fact he’ll probably be a few years before he produces much. I don’t have the roster space to wait on him. Great pick for Alex tho, he’s got the type of team to take him on

Porter was the guy I was hoping slipped through the cracks. Not much out there now, almost anyone taken this late in the 2nd wont become an NBA player, but Porter at least has the talent to be one, it's just a matter of being able to remain healthy.

But health permitting he's a top 5 player in this class Yeah, I don't know about top 5, but he's by far the most talented player still available. His athleticism is a bit of a question mark to me, and his health is a big red flag. It seems like the whole Porter family just has hereditary medical issues and they're both made of glass. To get a potential lottery talent at 49 though is too good to pass up, even if he never ends up having a productive career, it doesn't really cost me anything. I'll buy my lottery ticket and wait and see what happens. |
