I accept, after losing in the 1st round, I'm pretty sure Kyrie would've left next year, so rather start this retooling now.

Great move to add a stud PG in Kyrie to the young guns trio of 3-6 Latvia, Booker, and John Collins. Brooklyn with a nice sub age 27 quartet and still loads of cap space
Edit: Kudos to Toronto as well to recognize that treading water isn’t always best, and this is a good package in return for a guy that probably was leaving

Wow what a trade! Gotta feel like Brooklyn has a high chance of keeping Kyrie as well.

I take my hat off to Josh with this trade. Well done mate. I feel like my offer was stronger, but in the end I didn't negotiate enough and bowed out of the running anyway.
I accept.

I accept. I could almost convince myself at different times that one side or the other is winning this, which means it's probably pretty even and a solid trade.
I won't be surprised if this looks much better for either team in a few years, but both are great, long-term GMs, so have at it.
Accept.

Technically this trade violates the Stepien Rule. Though I think it would just be a formality for BKN to pick whoever TOR wants at 6 and then process the trade. But salaries would have to match up, etc.

Which makes this trade still not valid and should be rejected now. Which means BKN and TOR should still post another trade after the draft.

*based on next years salary numbers * CJ Miles removed This might be a bit preemptive but just want to get an official ruling from Ian Noble on whether I have Kyrie’s bird rights or not. This trade was posted and processed in June 2019 before salaries progressed, but was posted with 2020 salaries. However, I do remember asking Ian at the time if I would have BRs on Kyrie based on this and he confirmed that I would. I’d have to dig through messages to find that conversation, but just want to get a ruling here that I can point back to next summer if I am in a situation of needing to claim BRs on Kyrie.

Yeah this trade passed before salaries progressed, so officially Kyrie had 3 years left on his deal when that happened (so long as he accepts his final year PO) and you have Bird Rights when his contract expires.

No, because your trade doesn't work, salaries-wise, until salaries progress to next season and Harden has only two years left on his deal.
