If DeRozan is worth so much, why was this the best trade that Amare could find? Honestly I didn’t expect this trade to go through because Jerry West would get the job, not because it’s unfair.
If someone can show me where they offered something better than Winslow and a 2022 1st, then I’ll accept that this trade should be rejected. But something is telling me that DeRozan has “theoretical value” but not actually enough value that someone is willing to give up assets for him.

A week ago the best offer Amare could find was the Miami Heat trade.

In my opinion if your running for a GM spot and you get a trade for a player rejected you should be prohibited from trading that player again during the application period.
You could trade other players or picks, but not that one since I feel that you already devalued the asset in the eyes of other people and made the job more difficult for other people applying.

Dude i plainly said in that thread i jumped the gun and didnt do my due diligence in the miami trade! But i promise i contacted every gm, engaged with every gm interested, and sent a pm to all the interested gms i had a offer i liked and i would wait to hear back from them 1st and after 36 hours of nothing i acted! They will all tell you this is true!(and actually their were 2 offers i liked this time but i wont name the other gm bc that stays private with me) and in all honesty everyone is saying demar should get more but its not their or people are being stingy. But while you wait to trade derozan and he and lowry get older and after this year the blazers have 1 21 1st and 0 2nds this team will spin in place right inside the lottery but they wont get their pick! No one but josh offered prospects, 1st rounder, and cap relief! It was always 2 of the 3 or 1 of the 3 and frankly the blazers need all 3 and demar right now is the fastest way to achieve this!

Maybe you jumped the gun again.
Edit: Just want to clarify that Amare has the same potential has everyone else to become a good GM. But no matter what people tell me, I utterly believe it's impossible to get the best deal possible for a player in 48 hours. That's around the time it took for the trade to from the Heat to be officially reject to this thread being created. Hell you won't get the best offer for a player within a week. That's how Magic ended up trading Muscala to the Clippers for Zubac and Beasley.
Amare is just trying to prove himself way to hard. And it is backfiring not only on him but other candidates as well. His spirit and intentions are great but you have to be more patient about running a team.

Part of the problem in all honesty is i knew your leading the pack basically have the job (and well deserved)if you want so i almost felt compelled to do something to maybe overtake you for this job bc ive been waiting 2 years lol but i still think with the cap space this trade is fine. But either way happy easter 🐰 everyone!!

Kudos to Danny Longley for putting the reject and backing it up with the right reasoning.
It is really getting hard for me that we continue to accept this " it is not rejectable" thing as reason. If you will accept a close trade like the DL trade and with a one-line reasoning and then the majority just keep their silents..
