The Portland Trailblazers will trade 79 Wesley Matthews $12,204,955 $13,059,302 $13,973,452 $14,951,595 2020 1st rd pick Total Salary involved: $12,204,955 for Philadelphia 76ers 78 JJ Redick $7,250,000 $7,500,000 75 Gerald Henderson $5,000,000 $5,000,000 Total Salary involved: $12,250,000 I accepted this trade to make a very solid run to make it to the top 4 in the west and to have a home court advantage.. We currently at the 5th spot and having to lose some games due to our lack of depth.. With JJ Redick, we will have a solid starting shooting guard that can compliment well with Kyrie.. Wes Matthews has been struggling playing with Kyrie so we need to fix that issue plus having another guard depth with Gerald Henderson will solidify our bench. Slowly but surely we are fixing our bench problems. Allen Iverson

I wouldn't trade away the long-term security of a 1st for just these guys, but Portland's not a team we need to worry about particularly.
I accept.

Yes it's hard to trade a future first but we need to trade Wes matthews cause he may decline the PO next season. With Redick secured until next season we will have enough space if PG13 and Gortat decline their PO.
