The Bucks trade: 81 Andre Drummond $2,961,598 $3,992,234
The Pelicans trade: Stanley Johnson Myles Turner LAL 2017 1st
I accept this trade I know I am overpaying but with the cap increase bird rights are kinda irrelevant and this is a show of faith to a free agent in particular that I am trying to get.
With this trade I still have future assets so it doesn't ruin my team and it gives me a chance to really take a leap in this league and start to form my long term core.
Once again once I get the free agent I hope this impresses the move should look even better

I don't see how the values worth Drummond. Drummond is legit and proven. Why give Glenn anything for Drummond.

I understand its an overpay but I'd like to put it in the context that the free agent I am trying to sign wanted to see a move that would improve our teams roster and even after this I should have a ton of future assets while really solidifying a team right now for the present.
I am not ruining the deal with this deal I still have the most draft picks in the league after this deal lol

Both the Pelicans players have looked amazing in summer league, but it's summer league.
I would personally hang onto Stanley Johnson and Myles Turner, but I'm content to accept this deal.

I think they'll be great in the NBA also but its worth noting Josh Selby is a 2 time Summer league MVP or something like that

Why can Marc Gasol go to a team that wouldn't get him in its current state but the FA won't go to your team... Does the player agent think your word is worth less than Glenn's?

Selby, Adam Morrison...just because guys are playing well in summer league means nothing. Most of the time it's to see the talent for the D League, or you see players that end up overseas or not in the league at all. Even after having a decent or better summer League. Milwaukee just wanted to get the heat of him, just like he did with Holiday. Doesn't mean both times it wasn't complete bullshit!! Because it was!!!

Wow that is great return for Drummond. Myles Turner has been the most impressive prospect at summer league so far and the Pacers are really good drafters too. I'd definitely want to hang on to him. Stanley Johnson has looked really good as well. Then that Lakers pick might be very high since Kobe should be gone and the Lakers could be in the middle of a rebuild.
I think this is one of those trades where we will look back years from now and see how much of a steal this is. Problem is, everything I've said is total speculation. Turner and Johnson have never played a game and could bust. The Lakers might not actually be in a rebuild too. Magic could swing some moves and keep the ship full speed ahead.
So I will accept.

I gotta agree with JR here...im not sure how the TC thinks this is fair. having more picks is not a good reason to give away the ones you have now for free...

Wow, 3 1st rounders for Drummond! I could see giving up Turner or Johnson, but not both especially since Drummond is only on a 2 year deal. Pacers just dealt Hibbert & West left, its Turner time in Indy now.
Great trade for the Bucks

But without BRs - in this league? Way too much IMO

This trade will get accepted. You guys over value rookies way way too much. Guys have not even played NBA minutes yet. I hope they both end up injured somehow and never make it in the league. LAL will never tank so I don't see the pick being a high one either.
I hope it backfires!!

It actually didn't occur to me that the Pelicans would not receive Drummond's bird rights. I gave my verdict whilst at work and didn't give it enough thought. This is giving up a tremendous amount of potential for maybe two years of Drummond.
Brian is taking the gamble that the Pelicans will be good enough to re-sign him without BRs but I am very high on Stanley and Myles Turner.
This deal kinda reminds me of the Cavs trading Wiggins for potentially only one year of Kevin Love.
I don't feel like the Pelicans will be on enough of a positive trajectory if they make this deal, but Brian's proving himself to be a really competent GM.
I still accept.

Lol, people act all mad about Glenn having a good team but people keep agreeing to stupid trades like this, what do you think is gonna happen. It does make some sense for Brian though just cause his team probably has the worst collection of defensive players I've seen be rated so highly.

This trade is fair enough.
Drummond is in his breakout years already, while Stan and Myles needs to have at least two years to make it to 80.
So, in that two years, Drummond should have help Brian contend and he can even help them lure one big fish next offseason.

I would just like to point out that it's 100% bullshit that Glenn and Walt can get a free agent to sign with their team by "promising" them something, but Brian can't even get a CHANCE for Hayward to resign without overpaying for Drummond.
It's 100% bullshit.
I'm fine with a new NO PROMISE rule but to allow it for Glenn and Walt and then start enforcing it here is super gay.
If anyone thinks that there would be more of a chance that Marc Gasol would sign with Glenn's team than Hayward would sign with Brian's team then they are fucking insane. Especially when both players did the EXACT OPPOSITE in real life.
Fucking gay. Brian is getting shafted by the PA and by Glenn.
But what is he to do? He has no choice because the PA randomly decides to be a dick to Brian instead of everyone else.
bullllllllshhhiiiittttt.
