Reasoning for me: This is a cap move. I have something pretty big in the works and while Batum is one of my favorite guys in the league, and I think he'll do well in Charlotte IRL, I've got to jump on this chance to make this trade so I can get a big signing accomplished as well as bring back Derrick Favors.

Nic, I can't believe this, honestly. I love you man. Please enjoy your time in Brooklyn (or wherever you end up) and just know that I'll come after you again when I have a chance. Keep playing hard, do your thing!

Yea I'd place bets that Josh has messaged the Lakers about a Kemba for MCW trade. This is also interesting because DeMarre Carroll might have had the best contract in the league. Brooklyn had him for a minimum deal and would have had bird rights once he expired. But whatever, this is a solid trade, Batum has done more, but if Carroll comes out strong next season he could easily get a bump in his rating.

I think Carroll is going to start sucking on the Raptors, but also think Batum will become a bit of a lost cause in Charlotte IRL. So basically Walt wins this by a way, but it's two experienced GMs so I'll accept.
