11. Milwaukee Bucks (via WAS) - Doug McDermott: 18 ppg on 44% is better than I was expecting and he's proven to be able to get to the line a bit better than I was anticipating and showing off nifty passing ability. He still hasn't gotten a steal so I still worry about his defense but he's a player that might make me look stupid when all is said and done.
12. Phoenix Suns - Zach LaVine: Another guy who I ranked lower than everyone else. I don't understand the appeal of this kid. 15 points on 39% FG is not impressive and he also has a pretty shitty assist to turnover ratio. It looks like the coach at UCLA wasn't holding him back as much as everyone thought.
13. Philadelphia 76ers - Nik Stauskas: Exactly the guy we all thought he was, he's shooting a bullshit 50% from three but 10 ppg on 46% FG is nothing to be bashful about. He's also passing pretty well and limiting his turnovers.
14. Charlotte Hornets (via LAC) - James Young: DNP - Apparently was in a car accident.
15. Atlanta Hawks (via MIL) - Dario Saric: DNP - Too Foreign
16. Boston Celtics (via IND) - Adreian Payne: It came out that Payne has a lung condition that will limit his minutes throughout his career. But he's playing 30 minutes per game so it can't be that bad. Averaging 12 ppg on 40% shooting isn't that great but his 36% from 3 shows his potential to be a stretch four. And now IRL ATL has like 10 guys who can hit it from three.
17. Houston Rockets (via TOR) - Jusuf Nurkic: DNP - Even more foreign because he's so unknown. I guess he's gonna play this season though.
18. Toronto Raptors (via CLE) - Tyler Ennis: This is a guy that is doing exactly what we thought. Struggling to finish and right now hasn't made a single three pointer. I was expecting difficulty finishing (21% FG) but his 3 point shooting woes were not as expected. He has shown that he can be a decent rebounder for the guard spot (4 rpg in 23 mpg) and his steals have translated well too. He has a positive Assist to Turnover ratio and I expected that too. He could be this seasons version of Kendall Marshall guy that takes a while to figure out how to score at the next level.
19. New York Knicks (via SAC) - Rodney Hood: 13 ppg on 42 FG% and 35 3pt% isn't bad for a rookie wing and better than a lot of the guys I had above him I worried about his ability to create and play defense. Well he can create a little bit vs summer league competition but his defense has been just as non-existent as expected. He did have one really solid stat sheet stuffing games but I'd say that isn't going to be as common as NYK is hoping. I still think the upside is limited on Hood.
20. New Orleans Pelicans (via DET) - Kyle Anderson: He's proven once again to be a super weird player. His 40% FG isn't that great, but he's contributing a 2.4apg-1tov ratio in 22 mpg and his rebounding is decent. He's also used his length to get into passing lanes to the tune of a steal a game.
21. New Orleans Pelicans (via BKN) - Jordan Adams: Everyone's draft model superstar, in most advanced draft prediction models Adams was considered to be a top 2-10 player. He's such a goofy player because he's not crazy athletic but manages to use really quick hands to get the ball of opposing guards and he's blocked a few shots and rebounded really well. His 41% FG is really brought down by one stinker game where he went 0-6. NOP I think got two of most people's favorite late 1st early 2nd sleepers.
22. Boston Celtics (via DAL) - Shabazz Napier: LBJ is the greatest player in the world but he'd be a terrible GM. Shabazz has done nothing but prove that he doesn't have the necessary tools to succeed at the next level. He's mightily struggled converting a measley 27%. He's having the same problems as Tyler Ennis but isn't making it up with assists (39 assists in 10 games as opposed to 43 turnovers). He's proven he can steal the ball but chances are he's going to cough up the ball. Marcus Smart another rookie caused him to turn the ball over 8 times in a game I watched and looked completely outclassed.
23. Memphis Grizzlies (via MIN) - Bruno Caboclo: Brazillian Kevin Durant sends his regards to the team that picked right after him. I really swung for the fences on a player I didn't even have ranked myself. He's done alright considering he likely has no idea what anyone is talking about. I'm pretty sure he's only had one game where he's had more than 2 rebounds and that scares me a bit on his potential to contribute in other ways other than scoring.
24. Toronto Raptors (via OKC) - Mitch McGary: McGary isn't the doughy white boy that I thought he was. He's proven his athleticism and ability to play above the rim much better than expected posting 1.8 blocks in only 26 minutes. His 50 FG% is better than any of the big men drafted above him. He's hinted at some decent passing for a big and also good steal rates.
25. Orlando Magic (via LAL) - PJ Hairston: 17 ppg makes you think Blake got a steal but when you find out it's on 31% FG your glad you skipped on him. I can't be too severe as he managed to decently contribute defensively but nothing extraordinary considering the guy was supposed to be a good shooter and already seasoned to near NBA level talent. To see him struggle like this is disheartening.
26. Minnesota Timberwolves (via CHI) - KJ McDaniels: Sweet baby Jesus KJ is an awesomely explosive player. He didn't contribute much but rebounds and blocks which is unique considering the guy is 6'6" and a SG/SF. He showed the ability to stretch the floor though and offers GREAT 3 and D potential.
27. Boston Celtics (via DEN) - Jerami Grant: Another goofy player, sort of a PFs game in a SF body. He didn't contribute much but he didn't really totally suck the balls off the walls and is on a team looking at another year of tanking so he'll likely get a roster spot and a chance to prove he belongs.
28. Chicago Bulls (via POR) - Gary Harris: 18 ppg, another guy that is struggling a lot more than a glance at his numbers would suggest. He's averaging 32% FG and it's kind of frustrating even though I had Harris probably a bit lower on my board than most. His great steal numbers are what save him in this analysis for me.
29. Minnesota Timberwolves (via MIA) - Cleanthony Early: Another guy I had really low. He's a tweener who can shoot a bit. He's averaging 10ppg on 41% FGs which is buoyed by completely bullshit 55% 3pt shot that will come crashing down to earth sooner rather than later.
30. Atlanta Hawks (via GSW) - Bogan Bogdanovic: DNP- Misspelled foreign player. He's not going to be over till 2016. Probably wouldn't have gone this soon if people knew that.
12. Phoenix Suns - Zach LaVine: Another guy who I ranked lower than everyone else.
