The Memphis Grizzlies are cutting ties with Richard Hamilton despite owing him 8 million next season.
GM Jeremiah Hill had this to say:
"We would like Rip to get a chance to play for a winner if he chooses to go that route and wish him the best of luck"
(He's not even playing in real life and I anticipate him being removed from the game in the off-season anyways.)

You'll need confirmation from Ian on this, but I think if you cut him, you're gonna have to pay his salary next year regardless. If you don't cut him and he is taken out of the game, you will get to drop his salary. ^This.

Sorry Jeremiah, if you cut him you would have to pay him next year. If you don't cut him, he'll retire and he's off your books next year.
