Salt Lake City The Utah Jazz have been no stranger to trades this season, recently sending out forward Jeff Green to Philadelphia for guards Dion Waiters and Dennis Schroeder. After making the move, GM Josh Barber traded away veterans JJ Redick, Kris Humphries, and Darren Collison for draft picks. Barber believes the trades will help his young players develop, "Everyone in the organization was extremely excited to bring in Dion, but we knew his development would be slow if he didn't get any playing time. By moving a lot of our more veteran guys to a contending team, we're really going to get to see what our young guys are made of." Tristan Thompson, who joined the Jazz after being traded from the San Antonio Spurs a few weeks ago, commented on the direction of the organization as well, "It is really cool to be on a team like this. I was stuck in reserves in San Antonio, and now I'm a starting center. That's how a lot of these guys feel. Thad (Young) was on the bench in Miami. Dion (Waiters) was on the bench in Philly. Even Dennis (Schroeder) wasn't getting much play-time in Philly, but now he's our primary backup point-guard. It's going to be fun to develop together as a unit going forward." New additions Dion Waiters and Dennis Schroeder.
