I accept. Trading the last remaining young assets I have for a true SG who can help spread the floor along with Smith. Evans will run the point and West and Horford will hold down the inside. I hate giving up so many picks but at least it's not a 1st.
Ellis is also playing great basketball in real life so he can make an impact to a WIN-NOW Wizards team. He is also an expiring along with Evans, who gives me about $18mil this off-season just in case I don't resign them (I will try to keep them both if I can).
My new lineup will be:
PG: Tyreke Evans (83) SG: Monta Ellis (84) SF: J.R. Smith (82) PF: David West (84) C: Al Horford (86) 6th: Chris Kaman (77)

I accept: Was not sure if Monta was going to re-sign with me this off season, so i took a chance at getting some assets now to build for the future. Honestly i wanted to keep Monta on my team and hoped he re-signed with my team but i can go after him during free agency if i wanted to. I gave monta a chance to win and be on a winning team. As T-Mac said, his starting lineup looks amazing and he's not done!
BTW for the mathematical people out there, WAS has about 1.5 million in cap space after his deals with Indy and OKC passes (which they have). So Ellis contract (11 million) - 1.5 = 9.5 million, therefore, this deal works under the 125% Rule. Hurraaaa

Damn, talk about selling your future for the present, but this definitely turns Washington into a true contender.

Damn, talk about selling your future for the present, but this definitely turns Washington into a true contender. Yeah man. Funny thing is that I STILL have draft picks. The guy GMing before me sure left a ton of them. But yeah I want to win now and I think this lineup is good enough to scare anyone in the playoffs. I still have a few moves in mind to sure up my bench, so hopefully those deals can go through as well. But I believe I have a sick core to build around moving forward.

Not sure this will be able to go through, though. Aren't you over the cap Washington? Your incoming exceeds your outgoing by more than 125%.

So Ellis contract (11 million) - 1.5 = 9.5 million, therefore, this deal works under the 125% Rule. Hurraaaa The rule says: "If you are over the cap after a trade, your incoming salaries must not exceed 125% of your outgoing salaries." The rule does not read that the salary over the cap cannot exceed 125%. It reads the total incoming salary cannot exceed 125%. Am I interpreting the rule wrong?

Basically a team either uses cap space or must comply with the 125% rule. They cannot be combine, however, under any circumstances.

If a trade puts/leaves you over cap, your incoming cannot be more than 125% of your outgoing. In this case, this trade puts Washington over cap, but his incoming is more than 125% of his outgoing.

What about after my trades with IND and OKC? Those two trades give me cap room. They just haven't gone official yet.

Looks like I have to wait for the IND - OKC trades to actually officially get passed and changed in the database so I can work with the small cap space that I will have. This trade will be pending until then I guess.

This trade will be pending until then I guess. If you don't have cap space then you need to send more salary to Toronto, it's that simple.
