Despite getting off to a perfect 3-0 to the season, the Denver Nuggets have announced they've fired Head Coach George Karl. Former Butler Bulldogs Head Coach Brad Stevens has been hired to replace him."This is a move for the long term future of our team" GM Alex English said. "We're trying to build a dynasty here in Denver and we believe bringing in a young coach to grow with our core will give us the continuity required to become a perennial contender."
The Nuggets' young core of Brook Lopez, Paul George, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, who are 25, 23, 24, and 21 years old respectively will now be led by the 37 year old who is considered one of he best young coaches in basketball.
Stevens' coaching staff will be rounded out with Nuggets legend Kiki Vandeweghe and Canadian National Team Head Coach Jay Triano as his assistants.
"I'm thrilled to have this opportunity" Brad Stevens told us. "I can't wait to get started."
