Celtics receive: 69 Anthony Bennett - $3,214,200 - $3,358,800 - $3,503,500 - $3,635,708 - $3,749,680
Magic receive: 75 Alec Burks - $2,202,000 - $3,034,356 - $4,175,274
Celtics have cap space to make this work.
Obviously there's never been a worse time to trade away Alec Burks, the guy is absolutely killing it for the Jazz at the moment in real life, even scored 34 points against the Nuggets on Jan 13. Also there's also never been a worse time to trade for Anthony Bennett.
I worry about this trade because Bennett could easily end up being Kwame Brown/Darko Milicic 2.0, he's even performing worse than they did in their rookie seasons, but I'm still optimistic that he could turn things around with playing time, like he did against the Pelicans, and that's entirely what this trade is based upon. Alec Burks could become like Mitch Richmond or something, a very good player on a poor team, which would make me rue the day that I made this trade.
Prior to the 2013 Draft though I was really high on Bennett and saw him as a Top 3 prospect (along with McLemore and Noel), and I like to go with my instincts even if they're wrong. The Cavs are looking to shake things up in real life too, so maybe Bennett will get a bigger role soon and this trade wont make me lose sleep for years to come.
I accept.

This is a big risk for Boston, but I guess he knows what he's doing. Bennett is ranked dead last in Points Per Shot in the league, and even during his "breakout" game against the Pelicans, he had some airballs. The guy just flat out cannot play. He's 6'8 and can't palm a basketball! To add to his lack of skill, he's also out of shape, and battles both asthma and sleep apnea.
Anyway, I'll accept, but I think Boston is going to regret this. Maybe I'll be wrong, but I just don't see Bennett ever being a successful NBA player.

I accept, i think Anthony Bennett will turn it around as well. I think it's to early to judge Anthony Bennett right now, his coach is horrible same with the team. I think if Anthony Bennett got traded (which he likely will at some point) he will turn his career around. Plus Burks is a decent player, nothing to special as well, so decent trade.

I accept.
I think Bennett CAN turn it around, but I'd rather have a more proven scoring weapon in "Easy 20" Alec Burks than the potential depth chart cancer that Bennett may remain.

I'll accept. I don't think Burks is that good that you can't take a chance on trading him, don't think he'll burn Ian too bad. Bennett is worth a shot.
