I think though, no matter what Lebron does, Jordan will always be #1 for me personally. I don't find that Lebron's game is a work of art, like Jordan's was, Lebron is mostly methodical whereas watching Jordan play is like a visual representation of a flowing guitar solo face off between Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante.

What's Lebron going to do when his super team falls apart? He's going to have to find another superstar to play with if he wants to win that many more rings. He can't do it alone imo.

I wonder if we'll see some Lakers logos on Lebron's timeline after Kobe retires?

Jordan couldn't do it alone either, he didn't start winning until Pippen became a star. In the last 30 years I think the only superstar who did it alone is maybe Dirk Nowitzki. As good as Terry and Chandler are I wouldn't call them stars and while Kidd and Marion used to be stars they weren't at the time. So there you have it, Dirk is better than Lebron and Jordan.

I don't even think you can put Pippen in the same category as someone like Wade. Pippen was never looked at as someone who was the face of the franchise. Good player? Hell yes. But no Wade. My point is that Lebron still needed a superstar to help him over the top. Now if Lebron had someone more on Pippen's level and won, I might think differently.

Dude, you have to look a lot more into Scottie Pippen, he was without a doubt a superstar. He's also easily one of the 50 greatest players ever. These are his stats in Chicago: 18.0ppg, 6.8rpg, 5.3apg, 2.1spg. During the two years Michael Jordan was gone these were his stats: 21.7ppg, 8.4rpg, 6.4apg, 2.9spg. Wade is a better scorer but Pippen did everything, and he's probably the greatest perimeter defender in NBA history.

If he wanted to prove he was better than Jordan, he would have stayed in Cleveland. Pippen ended up being a damn good basketball player but Jordan didn't go out of his way to play with Pippen the way Lebron did with Wade. Lebron knew that would be his best chance to win a ring. No way Jordan leaves Chicago to play with another superstar. You can throw all the stats at me you want but at the end of the day, I will always see Lebron as less of a player because of his decision to bolt. Had he stayed and they ended up getting someone like Pippen it would be a different story. Not to mention we are negating the fact that Chris Bosh was once looked at as a franchise player as well when he joined the Heat.

they played on different eras with different rules so dont judge Lebron now, He is just 28 years old. lets talk about this after 10 years!

Wait another 7-10 years until Lebron is at the age Jordan was when he retired and then you can compare them. Comparing the two at the age of 28 though is interesting, with Lebron having more accomplishments.
