I'm extremely surprised the Pacers want to make this deal, but since it wont adversely affect them I'm willing to accept.

I wont be able to resign Al Jefferson in the offseason. I have too big of a cap number with Granger, Ellis and Chandler. Who knows there may be more trading to come.
I like Derrick Williams, he improved this year, and I think he is just waiting for his chance to do even more. Almost like Paul George this year. I also get a great sim scorer in Ben Gordon. The problem I am having with my team is that I dont have any depth. In this trade I get some depth. I will have pretty good set of bench guards with Collison and Gordon. Hopefully those two can fill in for me on the bench. I dont think I will see too big of a slide replacing Al Jefferson with Derrick Williams. Plus Williams is still on his rookie contract.

I agree 100% with what Indiana says. People bashed me for trading Williams for Evans, and now they are going to criticize Indiana for trading Williams for Jefferson. However, in reality, this is a good deal for him and a very realistic deal for both teams overall. We saw last year how crazy FA can be, and if you need proof then ask the Spurs. The Pacers would be in trouble if Jefferson walked out on them after this year. Instead, they get a player who will be there for the long haul in Williams, and good depth for this year in the form of Warrick, Pietrus, Boykins and Gordon. Though Gordon is overpaid, he should not go down very much, if any, since he averages 12 points a game and his bad contract only lasts one more season after this one. As far as my team, I get a plethora of cap space. My concrete value, the three second round picks and Jordan Williams, are hardly enough substantial value for Derrick Williams. However, I gain between 16 to 17 million dollars in cap space for next season. Even if Al Jefferson wants to leave Sacramento after year, which he may with the presence of Ibaka, Asik, and Koufos, we will still possess, by my my calculations, 35 Million in cap space, and that number may be a bit low. While we will probably move either Asik, Ibaka, or Jefferson, (get your offers in GMs ) the way we are presently constructed is better than we were before. Though I do like Williams, he and Ibaka clashed since I traded the latter for Cousins. Additionally, and the main point, I get rid of Gordon's crappy contract; which makes me a real player in the FA game. Spoiler Alert: I hope Josh Smith's agent is watching! Lastly, this trade will help my pick because my starting SG and SF go down rating wise quiet a bit. This will not be a problem because, lets face it; despite my best attempts this team will not be contending for a playoff spot this year. Overall, I feel like this trade benefits both teams while, at the same time, remaining very realistic. I would like to thank Mr. Bird for his classiness during the trade process, even though talks got tense at times, and wish Derrick, Ben, Mikael, Hakim, and Earl the best of luck in Indiana! To conclude, we are very excited about this deal!

I like the deal for both sides. Derrick Williams has played very good this year. Hopefully he can continue that once Love gets back to full form. Al Jefferson had no chance of staying in Indiana due to cap issues so this deal helps fill an area of need for Indiana. Sac gets cap room.
I accept.

To Mr. Jefferson's Agent,
I do not intend to let your client walk, but rather would understand if he did not want to be on this team due to our plethora of quality post players.

Haha I'm assuming this is at least partly because of what I said in the free agent thread. I said it thinking he was still with Indy. There is no guarantee he stays in Sacramento though. Everything considered I think it might be a better deal for Indy. I accept.

Trade passed, despite Mr Divac's quite obvious contempt for Al Jefferson /sarcasm

What it has to do with is Boston saying "I intended to let him go", which obviously is not the case.
