PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Year 1: $9,258,000 Year 2: $10,156,310 Year 3: $11,054,620 Year 4: $11,952,930
Total: $42,421,860
After fielding offers from seven teams this off-season, Tristan is thrilled to re-sign with the Portland Trailblazers. While not every offer was at quite this level of money, there were quite a few teams that valued Tristan in this range. At the end of the process, it was really between Portland and Toronto. Tristan is from Toronto and was tempted to go home, but Portland showed a LOT of dedication throughout the process, and set the market for Tristan very early in the process. No one stayed as active as Jerry in this process, and Tristan really likes the team in Portland, and he has already had a chance to build some culture in Portland for about the last year. I really would have signed this over a week ago but my schedule has been pretty bonkers. And, offers kept trickling in - that said, it's my fault that this was left open so long for offers to be able to trickle in, but still. We've spent a lot of time thinking on this and really feel Portland is the right choice. We love the amount of dedication and effort they have put in to this signing. Thank you to all of the teams who showed interest in Tristan - he looks forward to boxing out your big man in our next meeting! Jerry West

It feels great to get your guy in your first FA. Can't wait for Tristan to join a better a team this year and help us reach the playoffs. Also a special thanks to Walt Frazier for helping me through the Free Agent process and for trusting TT to us.
