George Gervin and I have worked back and forth trying to work out a deal. He wants to try and clear cap. I get to add a young center. The downfall to the deal is that Valanciunas has already signed a big dollar deal. However, I think it is a deal that will help the Pacers in the long run. Jonas has shown some promise playing for the Raptors. We really like that he has worked to extend his game to include shooting three pointers. He is really becoming a modern day big. He is a player who I see can stay with the Pacers for a long time. He is only 26 years old, so he can team with Bobby Portis, Jarrett Allen, and Frank Mason as a part of our young guys. We also get to add another veteran bench player in Wesley Matthews. He can help add scoring and defense.

Accept from my end as well; fitting with my teams overall strategy of getting a cleaner cap sheet and acquiring picks, I do both in this deal. All the players/contracts I’m acquiring are expiring after next season, unlocking almost $38 MM in cap space for me. Additionally, the 31st pick in this deep draft is effectively a late 1st rounder, and similar to the Ibaka deal I did with Charlotte, I expect role player talent to be there in the early 2nd round
My biggest contract left is Derrick Rose, who at this point is more fit for a nursing home than me being able to unload him

I accept.
Jonas is hit or miss but I feel with the raptors new head coach, I think he will do well!
Also loving what George is doing with his team. Lots of draft picks this year and for once the spurs will be a young team.

Accept from me as well. This is pretty solid both ways for each GM's purposes.

I think we’ve reached a quorum on this but not sure if we need Alex English to chime in as well before it can be officially passed

Trade passed! I will move it to "queued" once I'm home and able to process it.
