The moment Wiggins was offered to me by Josh, I went and research about him. Yes. I saw what you saw. A guy that is not living up to what he can be. But still in a very ripe age, I did not think that he will not improve anymore and be an overrated player forever. Only 23 years, so I really believe that MAPLE JORDAN potential is still there.
Remember, the current skill level is a variable in the equation, while potential is an independent variable. The potential of Wiggins is still up there, ready for him to reach.
I never thought to receive an offer that will fill all the check box for me. I was looking for stretch bigs who can also defend. And some more that will fit the team that I am trying to build.
Sacramento provided me that. Porter was one of the guy that I was pretty high on for the last two seasons. My dream PF is a stretch-big who can defend and steal a lot of balls. And Otto is that guy.
KCP is a 3-and-D and I am always open for those types. I want to re-sign him in the offseason, but I am really hoping he find the right team in real life.
I do know that Wiggins is pretty undervalued in this league. I need to adjust for your shortcomings. So, I decided to add Olynyk in the deal. And if you think Olynyk is just a role player, you do not watch much Heat games. Wait for the playoffs.
The guy that really push me to let go of Wiggins is Dedmon. Yeah. Just a role player. May only last with me until next season. But, I am hoping that two seasons could be a back-to-back championships for us.
Yes sir. We are doing this to win the crown. Every move that we make is all about winning the crown.
In short, we are always, ALL IN!
ACCEPT!
GO WIGGINS, PROVE THEM WRONG!
