The Houston Rockets, led by Charles Barkley, and the Detroit Pistons, led by Vlade Divac, have agreed to the following trade:
Houston Sends:
78 Bismack Biyombo $17,300,000 $18,000,000 $19,980,000 $22,177,800
San Antonio Spurs 2019 1st Round Draft Pick
Detroit Sends:
78 Tyson Chandler $13,000,000 $13,000,000
64 Pierre Jackson $998,386
Los Angeles Clippers 2018 1st Round Draft Pick
Orlando Magic 2018 1st Round Draft Pick
The math: ($13,000,000 + $998,386) * 1.25 = $17,497,982.5 > $17,300,000

I think this is a helluva trade for Chuck. It is, Seems like vlade really want JRs picks lol Yeah. I don't blame him, but I think JRs picks will get more valuable as time goes on. Honestly, I can see him making the playoffs in 2018 and 2019. After that it gets murky. Could be wrong though. This hasn't been a great off-season for JR.

My reasoning:
Tyson Chandler is a seasoned D5 Veteran used to playing around stretch bigs like Dirk and KLove. He's much older than Bismack but we need to focus our efforts not 5 years down the road but now and the immediate future.
Bismack Biyombo did everything we asked him to do in the sim, and then some. He had great offensive games when all that was expected/needed was shot blocking and rebounding and we thank him for that. But we feel that his contract is to restrictive moving forward for what we want to do with our team.
Giving up the SAS 2019 pick, which looks better each and every day, is tough. Considering that 2019 draft projects right now to have 2 generational talents, Marvin Bagley and Zion Williamson, this is hard. And with my luck, this pick turns out to be someone really good.
But, I get 2 firsts back this year which I can flip with mine for a solid player, or I can use those three picks to build a solid group of guys around the team, as I usually draft pretty well. And something has stuck in my mind recently, and that is that JR will do anything he can to win and JRs picks have historically been "ok," as in, not as bad as we all think they are going to be.
We would like to thank Vlade, as the negotiations were pretty solid which is tough with two difficult people as ourselves.

That clippers pick has decent potential imo. His whole team needs a sw

I accept for several reasons:
#1: I think Bismack Biyombo is a very good player who can produce in real life if given a chance. He also plays center and will not hurt my tank much as he simply puts Mozgov on the bench.
#2: As Chauncey and Jared said, the Spurs pick is a big gamble. With that said, however, my team needs to gamble if I want to ever compete for a championship. I think it is safe to say that I am giving up two 18 to 25 picks for an unknown variable. The way JR is running the team, however, I think it will be a lottery pick, but I agree that it is not as valuable as the 2021 1st.
#3: This is opening up another deal that will kill my cap space for the future, but help my tanking this year and give me a good young player. Basically, I am in a hurry to get this done and think I can/might make up the value for one of those picks with a future deal. Initially, I offered one pick to Chuck and then countered with IND 2018 2nd along with one pick, but circumstances prompted me to act fast.
Nice trading with you, Chuck, and I wish you and the Rockets nothing but the best.

This is a fair trade, see everyone. Look at it, bask in it, it doesn't happen very often.

My team added plenty this offseason. I feel I'm in a better position than the Spurs. Clippers are gonna get slammed with ratings decreases before the season starts. Many veterans that are getting a bit too old and ineffective that have been floating a bit too high for too long. I'll get bored and put them in eventually, not just the Clippers but for a lot of teams.

I guess I accept
I think the Rockets get the better end of the deal though. Either way I doubt that Spurs pick is going to be amazing. In an instance like this it's better to have two late-1sts than one mid-1st imho.

I kind of don't think Vlade needs to give two first-round picks here. However, while I don't think the Spurs 2019 pick will be amazing, I do think it currently has a better chance of being in the lottery than those two 2018 picks.
I'll accept
