Ha, and I am pretty sure most teams would take him as their top 10 pick given his production during his first four years in the NBA. Why are you wasting my time even further with this garbage? I don't think any team would do that Let's just look at the last 5 years, not counting this year or last year, and see: B = Better than Oladipo C = Close W = Worst than Oladipo I will give half points if I think it is even remotely debatable. 2012:1. Anthony Davis (B) 2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (C) 3. Bradley Beal (B) 4. Dion Waiters (W) 5. Thomas Robinson (W) 6. Damian Lillard (B) 7. Harrison Barnes (B) - but I would have said C or maybe even Oladipo better before he went to the Mavs. This shows that players can bloom late! 8. Terrance Ross (W) 9. Andre Drummond (B) 10. Austin Rivers (W) B = 5 W = 4 C = 1 2013:1. Anthony Bennett (W) 2. Victor Oladipo3. Otto Porter (C) 4. Cody Zeller (W) 5. Alex Len (W) 6. Nerlens Noel (W/C) 7. Ben McLemore (W) 8. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (W/C) 9. Trey Burke (W) 10. CJ McCollum (B) B = 1 W = 6 C = 2 2014:1. Andrew Wiggins (B) 2. Jabari Parker (C/B) 3. Joel Embiid (B) 4. Aaron Gordon (W) 5. Dante Exum (W) 6. Marcus Smart (W) 7. Julius Randle (W) 8. Nik Stauskas (W) 9. Noah Vonleh (C/B) 10. Elfrid Payton (W/C) B = 3 W = 5.5 C = 1.5 2015:1. Karl Anthony-Towns (B) 2. D'Angelo Russell (W/C) 3. Jahlil Okafor (C/B) 4. Kristaps Porzingis (B) 5. Mario Hezonja (W) 6. Willie Cauley-Stein (W) 7. Emmanuel Mudiay (W) 8. Stanley Johnson (W) 9. Frank Kaminsky (W) 10. Justise Winslow (W) B = 2.5 W = 6.5 C = 1 Final Total: Better than Oladipo = 13.5 Worst than Oladipo = 22 Close with Oladipo = 5.5
Please tell me if you disagree with any of this as I tried to be as fair as possible even to the point that maybe I did not do Oladipo justice. While I like all of you guys, I am tired of you running your mouth without any evidence to support your claim. I said "most teams would take him as their top 10 pick" and I think my research shows that I am right as he is better, perhaps way better, than half of the top 10 picks in the 2012-2015 NBA Drafts. I did not include the last two years because it usually takes at least one year for a player to figure out the NBA. As a result, Oladipo has been a better-than-average NBA Player based on statistics, and I am about to address Barkley's issues with his potential in another post.

What do you mean exactly by this? I think people would take you more seriously if you articulated your point in a more clear and concise fashion. Yeah, I'm not worried about that. The Pacers GM valuing Oladipo and Sabonis that highly makes him stupid, so either way, he's stupid which makes your statement redundant. Does that help? I get it now, but do you understand the difference in a fact and an opinion? Look at the post above this and you will see fact. While I respect your opinion, I disagree and am only asking for you to respect my opinion by not voting this trade down.

Alright, I have been staring at this trade for a long time now. Here's where I am...
First, this isn't really a 3-way trade.. PHX and ORL don't interact at all, but, whatever.
Moving on... Dipo for Pasecniks and ORL 1st probably would be OK but maybe not enough for Dipo. With the LAC 1st I can see why some are a bit sceptical but I don't think it pushes it into reject area.
Blake seems to value Singler a little, so a 2nd for him is OK. Maybe even a little of that extra value from one of those 1sts applies to Singler for Blake.
Vlade and Jared just swap Burks for a 2nd that's 3 drafts away from a good team.
So, I can see where people think one team or another wins, and one or another loses out, but I can't convince myself there's enough here to reject, at all.
Accept from me.

You're getting a hell of a deal. Good GMing on your part.

Ha, this is such stupid logic since Oladipo and Sabonis WERE 1st round picks. You are presented with a choice, Chuck my dead, and can either assume that the Indiana Pacers GM is stupid like the media tells us, or we can infer that they value Oladipo and/or Sabonis quite a bit. Let me ask you, what is your specific objection to Oladipo's game? I have no specific objection to Oladipo's game, he shoots decent, plays decent defense, distributes decently. I don't think you trade away essentially 3 firsts (1 this year, two next year) for a guy who was drafted 4 years ago unless that guy is an All-Star caliber player. And I don't know if Dipo is that right now. Maybe he can blossom into it, but I wouldn't bet on it. He was a first round pick, yes, a lotto even, but he has since shown us the type of player that he is where as those picks are valued where they are because of who they could be. Everyone loved Dipo's potential, now that we have seen where he is at in regards to it, his value is diminished. Its why everyone values picks over players. This isn't a bad trade for Blake either. He sees a spot and needs to take it, Dipo helps to solidfy his starting lineup and young core. But, I think you, Valde Divac, win this trade. I think Pritchard is an idiot. I think he knows Oladipo will sell tickets to Pacers games as a former Hoosier. I think Sabonis is a possible 3rd option for a center, which is devalued right now. But I don't think PG is worth Dipo and Sabonis, and I don't think Dipo is worth 3 first rounders. I this this is a very fair evaluation other than the last paragraph. I really wanted to bait someone into talking about his game, so kuddos for not taking the bait. Oladipo does things that many players cannot due to his size, strength, speed, jumping ability, and overall athletic ability. I would like to compare him with JJ Reddick for an moment; they are similar players as they play the same position, are about the same size, and put up similar scoring totals at least. If JJ Reddick wanted to be like Victor Oladipo, could he do anything about it? I would say no because Reddick cannot run faster, jump higher, or basically do things to enable him to create his own shot. If anyone disagrees with this then please tell me. What if Victor Oladipo wanted to be like JJ Reddick? What could he do? If he put in the work, he could probably become a much better shooter that would get him closer to shooting like Reddick. Heck, he might even be able to out shoot JJ if he worked really really hard at it. Although it is improbable that Oladipo could ever shoot like Redick, it is possible. With that established, what would Victor Oladipo need to do to become like Dwayne Wade? I honestly think it is an easier road for him then becoming JJ Reddick because he already possesses the size, strength, speed, jumping ability, and overall athletic ability. What does he need to do? I would say the main he needs to do is work on his ball handling skills. If Oladipo could dribble more efficiently then he could get to more places on the court. Being able to get to more places on the court would result in him being able to better create his own shot; especially when you factor in his ability to run and jump. Oladipo might also need to improve his jump shot, but it is already adequate if not good. How can someone improve their ball-handling? It's pretty simply really, you go outside or to a gym and start dribbling the basketball. I grew up in a small town in Texas as an only child and was really really big and tall in elementary. By the time I got into junior high, I was still physically big but people began to catch me in terms of height. I loved basketball and wanted to keep playing, so what did I do? I went outside and started dribbling the basketball. I dribbled and dribbled and dribbled, and now I am fairly good ball-handler; In fact, in high school I played point guard during a summer league type deal. My point is this: Oladipo can become a better ball handler, and improve his jump shot if he thinks he needs to, in order to become a better creator of offense. What else does his game lack? Basketball is a pretty simply sport, so I don't really see what will hold him from improving into an elite player. The challenge to basketball is the vertical aspect of it which he has down 100%. Furthermore, he is just now entering the prime of his career at age 25 and is a great person by all accounts. Again, why wouldn't he develop? He is obviously a late bloomer and it takes people time to develop. Nothing is guaranteed, but I think the stars have aligned right for Victor Oladipo to transform himself into the basketball player we all thought he could be in 2013 when Orlando drafted him. Another story: I went to a small DII college in Texas and played at the rec there quite a bit. My roommate this year liked basketball as well and would usually come. One day no one was in the gym when we got in there, but 8 guys on the college's basketball team walked in and asked us to play 5 on 5. They put him and I different teams, and we would guard each other. Against these guys, I did not feel mismatched in terms of skill or even foot speed. Even in terms of height, all but one of them was under 6'3. They dwarfed me, however, in terms of vertical jumping ability. To create a point to this story, the one guy over 6'3, who was 6'7, kept beating his man, so I would come over to help. I could not block his shot, so I tried to draw a charge on him since most levels of basketball do not possess a "restricted area." After doing this several times and making him miss a few times, he told me "you better stop that or I am going to show you." Stubborn as I am, I thought my 5'10 white-self needs to hustle to be able to play with these guys. The 6'7 guy beats his man and I come to help...well he jumps from around the free throw line and knocks me down in route to dunking the ball. Victor Oladipo would destroy that 6'7 guy that dunked on me because God gave him the size, strength, speed, jumping ability, and overall athletic ability to be an NBA Star if not Superstar. Maybe he will never pan out, but he possesses the skills to do things most of us could never dream of. If people considered him lazy or that his priorities are wrong then I might agree, but he is a great guy from my understanding and it is up to him to be as good as he wants to be unlike most of us.

and I don't think Dipo is worth 3 first rounders. Where are you getting three first round picks? Also, I think it is very likely that none of these picks will be in the lottery which matters a lot.
