Mavericks Receive: Devin Harris (83) - $9,319,000/$8,500,000 Josh Selby (70) - $550,000 $762,195 2014 1st (Hornets)
Total Salary: $9,869,000
Hornets Receive: Marshon Brooks (80) - $1,063,865/$1,160,040/$1,210,080/$2,179,354/$3,201,471 Luke Ridnour (76) - $3,680,000/$4,000,000/$4,320,000 Jordan Farmar (73) - $4,000,000/$4,250,000
Total Salary: $8,743,865
Works by 125% Rule, Mavs Accept. Gain an above average starting PG. I think Harris will return to old form with the Hawks, paired up with younger guards like Lou Williams and Jeff Teague. Hate to give up Brooks this early, but the instant boost along with the potential of the pick and Selby was good enough for me.

Hornets accept. We cut a million dollars immediate salary, bring in a quality true SG with high upside, and allow Mike Conley to slide into the starting PG position. I have always felt that Conley was better than Harris and this trade helps improve our team. Ridnour can be a great backup on this team and Farmar has the potential to be one of those high salary/low talent players I need to make a good trade later on down the road. Brooks showed promise this year in real life and is locked into his contract for quite some time.

I like this for the Hornets, not so much for Dallas, but I accept.

My line of thinking here is pretty much that Marshon might get stymied by Joe Johnson taking up the minutes, I get to cut 4m more from Year 3 Cap, and Farmar is going to be in Europe for the next three years. Still would have loved to keep Brooks though.

Now, you can make it right in this sim league by bringing Harris home!

I wanted to jump off a building at the time LOL If only Stack could have kept his mouth shut, we could have kept them both.

Ahh yeah that's a good point, I remember thinking exactly that when I thought of trading with you for Marshon but then backed off, knowing his stats would suffer this year

New Orleans must cut a player from their roster first.
Otherwise trade passed.

This should be good since my trade with HOU has been processed. Sent him two players for one.

Wow...Dallas def screwed over NO with this trade. Good trade for Dallas though...
New Orleans...if you blowing up your team... Don't trade talent like Harris and a first and Selby(summer league MVP) for basically Brooks...
I wouldn't accept this as a CM....

Don't trade talent like Harris and a first and Selby(summer league MVP) for basically Brooks... I wouldn't accept this as a CM.... Harris has continually depressed since his "all star" season. He has lost a step and is no longer a prospect with a bright future, but a case of a player that could have been much more. Never been a true point guard and can't run an offense to save his life. He is an occasional scoring spark, but other than that he isn't much. Let's remember he just got trade for Marvin freaking Williams in real life. And this blows my team up how? I trade my starting PG for a starting caliber SG that is much younger and has more upside? Not everyone is as narrow minded when it comes to you abut trades. Sometimes trades are about what a player could be and not who they've been in the past. This gives my team the flexibility to slide AI to the three, when his defense is needed much more. My 2014 pick will be useless if I am still GM of this team by then. I've turned EG10 and some scrubs into Conley, Brooks, AI9, Hayward and Millsap. I know what I'm doing and this trade is for the better of my team.
