Houston Rockets - Shaun LivingstonShaun Livingston will re-sign with the Houston Rockets. He's agreed to a 4 year contract worth $28,576,625, the final year is a player option. Year 1: $8,000,000 Year 2: $7,400,000 Year 3: $6,845,000 Year 4: $6,331,625 (PO) Shaun's decision came down to Houston and Sacramento. He decided to stay in Houston as they offer a better chance to compete and have the potential for a bigger role. Shaun can be savvy vet and play a valuable role for the Rockets. He can also be a mentor to recent signing Cory Joseph. He may also be able to start some games too depending on how lineup decisions go. Sacramento's team would have Shaun in a clear back-up role as support for Damian Lillard. Shaun had nothing against that, but the larger role with the more talented team was something that made the decision go in the Rockets favour.

Don't agree with this at all. Offered him more money and a better team to play on. Can't win them all I guess.

Livingston, in my opinion, is a better player than Corey Joseph despite the latter possessing better stats. While it remains to be seen how Joseph does as a starter in Indiana, I think Livingston fits in well and better with the Greek Freak playing the primary ball-handler, basically the de facto PG, and Love and Eric Gordon at the 3 point line because of his tremendous post game. With Sacramento, Livingston is strictly a back-up PG as Bradley (who can actually play PG as well) and KCP. Great signing Chuck!

Okay, how about this: I will donate $5 dollars to Ian if you finish higher than the Rockets, and you will donate $5 if Houston finishes higher than you.

It's basically a tie, but I don't mind donating money to Ian.

Honestly, I would probably put you 6 and Houston 7 but it is super close. Only reason/way he finishes above me is because I'm in a tougher division.

I actually voted that it should be a requirement when Bryan Colangelo brought it up. Either way it's just a couple of bucks, I'm cool with it.

I bet you $20 you both finish within 5 games of each other regardless of who is ahead of the other.

I know it'll be close, but just looking at our teams I can see that mine is better/deeper. He has the best player by far, but after that I win by a mile.

Divisions mean something? You play the teams in your division the most. 4 games against the other 4 division opponents, [4×4=16 games] 4 games against 6 (out-of-division) conference opponents, [4×6=24 games] 3 games against the remaining 4 conference teams, [3×4=12 games] 2 games against teams in the opposing conference. [2×15=30 games] Not by much so if he finishes like 2 games better than you than its cuz he was better. Not having a good PF can hurt you

Love and Lillard are rated the same thing...think about that for just a second. Just remember, I never said I agreed with it. Plus, he still has like 15 to 10 M in cap space.

I've looked at the ratings, and after that he has all 70s. That cap space doesn't mean much, either, especially considering what's left on the FA market. He's also shopping Kevin Love and I doubt he'll bring somebody in more talented. We'll see.
