James Jones - Miami HeatJames Jones has agreed to a contract with Shaquille O'Neal and the Miami Heat. James Jones was born and raised in Miami, went to school at the U, and had great success for the Miami Heat for 6 seasons. This is a ceremonial signing for James and he is thrilled to be able to retire with his hometown team. We thank Troy Bolton for the opportunity! Year 1: $815,615 (league minimum)

I guess we will let him play out this year but I did just read this morning that James Jones took the role of Vice President with the Phoenix Suns!

I guess we will let him play out this year but I did just read this morning that James Jones took the role of Vice President with the Phoenix Suns! Which means he's not returning to play basketball. Most likely done and retired, but there's no need to announce it. I don't think he should play. Bosh is more likely to play for a team.

Can't believe he made VP of basketball operations for the Suns. Good for him.

James Jones was such an underrated basketball player! He tore it up the year he played with D'Antonio and the Suns, and then later he took his talents to South Beach/Lake Erie and the combination of Spo, Blatt, nor Lue gave him many, if any, minutes. In my opinion, the guy could hit 3s and defend with the best of him. Honestly, I never saw much wrong with him and felt like he got shafted in the NBA.
