Houston Rockets - Cory JosephCory Joseph will suit up for the Houston Rockets next season. He has agreed to a 4 year contract worth $44,000,000. Year 1: $11,000,000 Year 2: $11,000,000 Year 3: $11,000,000 Year 4: $11,000,000 Two teams showed interest in Cory very early in free agency, however the amount offered wasn't enough in order to bite on the deals early. Waiting for the bigger names to sign really paid off. In the last few days the bidding for Cory was pushed up from $6-7 million per year to what he's now signing. In the end the decision was between Houston and the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas was one of the early teams to show interest and they were both willing to offer this amount, but due to the rare circumstance that Houston was both the better team and they had the greater potential for playing time, Cory couldn't pass on this chance. Given Houston's lineup Cory has the chance to earn the starting PG position on a contending team. He's very excited to join Giannis and the boys to try and take down the giants in the western conference. Thank you to everyone else that showed interest in him.

Good play for a guy who's gonna have a decent opportunity next season given that Daren Collison is best suited as a pure scoring point guard. That Indiana team has a lot of weird guys I like on it.

We are happy to have Cory join the ball club and feel he can be a focal point in our offensive scheme.
