I accept revised trade per my last comment on previous thread.
I have on good grounds and knowledge on the status of some of the FA I am going after (who shall remain nameless).
I believe I can sign atleast 2 of them solid.

Now Lal kills this trade tbh lol but I want to take a gamble on that 1st How do they kill this trade? Randolph's contract is respectable and it is likely more valuable in that it is a one year deal. The problems of not being able to predict the future still exist. The lakers are still only clearing the same amount of cap in 2 years, there's no more long term value in this trade than there was in the last rendition. The change of adding in Randolph is actually worse for him, he had his BRs, I believe; an expiring one year big contract is going to be needed to get someone out of a bad signing come December.

Because Kyrie and KAwhi didn't sign The allure of free agency is that everyone is about to blow their load, the reality is that only a few people do

Right now LAL has like 5 players on his team. Thats if Barnes resigns. He should, but idk what everyone is trying to do this offseason, this is a decent portion of the league's first offseason and Magic is the one making the head scratchers.

I suppose I accept.
The Lakers look to be pinning hopes on some big signings by first trading away two starters with big contracts. Afterwards they have Harrison Barnes and Kemba to lure FAs, which is fair enough I suppose. But they also trade away their 2021 1st Rounder, which seems a bit unnecessary but it does help the Suns rebuild.
It's weird for the Suns to be taking on board ageing veteran Zach Randolph, as well as Alec Burks, but on balance it's not bad enough to reject.

I guess there may not be quite enough here to reject since Burks/ZBo combine to equal the cap space to sign any Max Contract FA this offseason. It's a relatively large risk but Magic has been here forever and if he wants to take it, I'm going to let him take the risk.
Accept.

I really hate the idea of trading a 1st rounder so far in the future. It's so often deals like this that end up netting a team a lottery pick for cheap, and seriously damaging the ability of the original team to improve their roster. The Lakers aren't exactly in a strong position where you can confidently predict they won't suck by the time the 2021 draft rolls around.
This already has 3 accepts though, so whatever.
