I don't think its really fair to punish a new GM's mobility during the most crucial point of the season for a lotto team either. I thought the spirit of the rule was to prevent people from blowing up a team they just got in the middle of a season.

I'm gonna have to agree with Jeremiah.
Chauncey can't help that he came in during the first stages of the off season.
We shouldn't punish him for that.

The one move he has made so far has not crippled his team.
Possibly added to, he's getting a good and a decent 2nd Rounder where he can bring in two of his guys.

Getting rid of a solid backup is not the best way to lure a free agent lol. You have cap room for literally 2 max free agents (not gonna happen, but you have the room) and no one outside of a point guard would be worried about signing with your team.

I think Jonathon Simmons could start for around 10 teams in the real NBA.

Wrong. I have cap for 1 max player. After this trade I will have room for 2 + Lillard with BRs, which is why I made it.
