That seal picture was just because I was surprised to see such a deal. I don't think this deal works under the salary cap rules. If you're making this trade to acquire Oladipo's BRs then you have to be using 2016/17 salaries. I've preserved a version of the 2016/17 Rosters here for reference.

I accept as I feel like I am giving up smaller value for a guy that could potentially be the face of the Detroit franchise. I do worry about his present situation in Oklahoma City, I still hate the Ibaka/Oladipo trade for both teams, with Russell Westbrook and my ability to resign him, but I felt like this was good value for a 25 year old guard who possesses a great deal of ability.

He is still on his rookie contract in 2017/2018?

Dipo's current contract is the last year of his rookie contract. Vlade can probably get rid the NA before Layman and Gbinele's 2nd year of their deal, but either way, yea. This should be OK and Vlade would get BR's with Dipo's last year of his Rookie contract.

The bad GMs and teams are the ones who flip flop or can't decide. As long as you have a plan and are successfully executing it, you're a good GM in my book.

I need to officially accept this, so, here I am, officially accepting this.
Reasoning is that I want to maximize my cap space for Jae Crowder's Re-Signing process, and/or backup options, plus Clint Capela. I do have BR's on Capela so I can go over the cap, so this is really about Jae Crowder. He's the glue that makes this team go, and he's the perfect fit here, and we're the perfect fit for him.
Also, to be fair, Oladipo is super unlikely to stay here with McCollum playing his position, and only one other team was interested in him.
So, Accept! Love you Jae!
