Brooklyn accepts. We are consolidating some assets here and I really like Lavine's potential for stardom after getting traded to be the face of the Bulls. We'll have to find his fit beside Devin Booker but we think they can make a great young combo!

I begrudgingly accept -- even though I didn't get the top 7 pick I envisioned for LaVine, at least enough people believed Jeremiah's slander to take terrible players and leave awesome ones on the board so it's as if I have a top 7 pick.

I think this is an amazing move for the Nets. Draft hype is at it's peak and the price for Lavine is low. I think trading untested prospects for established young talent is always the smart move. There is a question about his injury, but all news on the issue so far is that Lavine is progressing well.
Billy seems to have an issue with acquiring and keeping young talent that aren't sleepers or hidden gems. He's a hipster GM that needs to like a guy before they were cool, lol. He's insistent on taking the hard road for whatever reason. But he's not going anywhere as he's clearly committed, so sure, lets let him walk that road. I'll accept.

Assuming Jeremiah doesn't see much difference between 8 & 10 (think I know who he may be after, which would make sense), and assuming Zhou Qi never blows up, this is a great trade for him.
Accept all around.

Accept all around. Zhou Qi is basically Lauri Markennan or Davis Bertans if he ends up ever playing in the NBA, I already have one of those guys lol.

The "hard road" to typical team success is the "only road" to a ring in my opinion. It's easy to keep mediocre guys and make the playoffs, it's hard to turn those mediocre guys into players that have enough ceiling to win a ring.

With Mitchell playing so well, this is shaping up to be a very interesting trade. I am still really excited for Zach LaVine, but it does irk me that Jeremiah got Mitchell with my pick!
