OSFA RemindersThere are three changes worth remembering during OSFA negotiations this year. 1. Increase/decrease amount is now a maximum of 7.5%: The maximum an offered salary can increase/decrease per year is by 7.5% of the initial offer or the league minimum salary.
For instance, if a team offers a $10,000,000 contract, the most they may offer in the second year is $10,750,000. The most they may offer in the third year is £11,500,000 ($10,750,000 + 7.5% of $10m) and so on. 2. Bird Rights are a maximum of 5 years length. Normal contracts are a maximum of 4 years. Previously the amount was 6 years with BRs or 5 years without. 3. Team Options will be rare. Try to avoid offering Team Options. The Player Agents are going to try and avoid TOs because, outside of rookie contracts, there's only like three players with TOs in their contracts in the entire NBA.
Also a reminder that Team and Player Options can only exist in the final year of a contract, although that change was implemented last year.

When will the PAs for each position be announced ? we are still doing the tiered FA right ? I will announce the PAs a few hours before OSFA starts. We have five PAs (Alex, Bryan, Danny, Walt and Josh Barber's joining us this year) taking each position (C, PF, SF, SG, PG). I didn't see the need for tiered Free Agency so long as the free agent responsibilities are distributed well enough, although every big-name / controversial free agent signing will once again progress to a group decision that also includes a non-Player-Agent GM. Also I think it helps the process if PAs are able to receive offers on lower-level free agents earlier in OSFA because it helps them to know which GMs are more passionate to obtain those lower-level free agents, and it also gives them a good idea about how a free agent crop at a single position is shaping up.

Could've sworn I saw something regarding tiered Free Agency within the past week on one of the off-season free agency posts/announcements.
