No change. Leave him at 97. Durant is still the second best basketball player on earth, and the best is still Lebron. The huge stats put up by Harden and Westbrook don't make them better, especially when it's the result of extremely high usage.
Russ had a usage rate of 41.7% while KD had a usage of 27.8%, and he still averaged 25, 8 and 5. Durant could have averaged 40+ ppg if he and Westbrook traded places and Durant had a usage rate that high.

Best player on the best team. Plays with 3 other players that arguable are 3 or the top ten NBA players. Honestly, he has played way better on defense and is more efficient than before. It's expected his stats will go down playing on the team he does. 97 but wouldn't hesitate to go higher with his defensive game stepping up. Still think he is behind lebron, but still better than harden, Westbrook, and curry.

I actually think that if if had been KD by himself on that team instead of Russ that they wouldn't have even made the playoffs.

I just don't think that Durant has the mental or physical toughness to play the high minutes and take on the pressure that Westbrook did this season and actually succeed at getting into the playoffs with that team. Adams, Roberson literally only two teammates with a more than a 1.0 VORP. That's blasphemous team construction. |
