Free Agency ChangesTwo amendments have been made to the Regular Season and Off Season Free Agency Rules. Both of these changes bring us more in line with the NBA's rules. 1) Contract Lengths Free Agent deals must no longer exceed 4 years in length! The only exception to this rule is if a re-signing team possesses Bird Rights during Off Season Free Agency, in which instance the limit is now reduced from 6 to 5 years maximum length. 2) Increase/Decrease Amounts The maximum an offered salary can increase/decrease per year is by 7.5% of the initial offer or the league minimum salary. For instance, if a team offers a $10,000,000 contract, the most they may offer in the second year is $10,750,000. The most they may offer in the third year is £11,500,000 ($10,750,000 + 7.5% of $10.75m) and so on.
