Is Kareem possessed by the ghost of TMac? What have you got against draft picks Kareem?

Kareem Abdul-JabbarYou realize that a top 5 2nd is basically the same as a really late first right? A lot of guys can fall in the draft which can mean you can get a pretty good guy for only 600,000 a year. Sure a lot of them end up sucking but gathering talent is what you should be doing. Also to a team as low in the standings as you are it can be hard to get meaningful difference makers in FA (See the RL Lakers and Sacramento the past few years). You're also not in a big market or anything and even if it matters less and less it still helps a little bit. You'll usually be able to get a couple younger guys who are looking for minutes on decent contacts and though it will be a little easier cause of the new hard cap I don't see that changing for your team the way its currently constructed.
