Mavericks Receive: Leandro Barbosa 79 - $7,600,000
Total In: $7,600,000
Nuggets Receive: Luke Walton 66 - $5,680,000/$5,800,000
Jared Jeffries (Contract) - $1,229,255 2014 1st Round Pick (San Antonio) 2012 2nd Round Pick (Sacramento)
Total In: $6,909,255
Mavericks Accept. I was really hesitant to give up the 2nd Rounder, considering I might not be able to retain Barbs, but he still scored 9 PPG even while buried behind a really young backcourt of Collison and Hill, and averaged double digits in scoring the two years before that, while playing 24 or less minutes in both seasons.
He's had issues staying on the court, but at the very worst, it leaves me with about 2-3m in cap when I didn't expect to have any for the following year.
To be honest, I was a bit curious of the legality of trading contracts of the waived when Denver much earlier proposed this, but I saw some instances in other versions of D5 and some discussion about it to at least give it a try.

I accept. Barbosa is an expiring contract and I had no plans on resigning him since the aquisition of Tony Allen. Taking Walton does kind of suck but this is a weak free agent class and since I will still have enough cap space to re-sign Dragic and Ilyasova so I'm fine with it. Since the Kings pick should be 30-35 and the Spurs could easily be rebuilding by the time that first comes around I think it's a decent return for a guy who would have walked.

It's not too bad I guess..but I need to know from Boston if the contract trading is definitely allowable before I vote.

I accept, a first rounder for Barbosa is a nice scoop considering he only got a 2nd rounder IRL at the deadline

Yeah trading contracts is okay.
I also accept. I don't know why Dallas wants Barbosa particularly though.
