You have to post ratings? If you're making or rejecting or accepting trades based on current rating, you're doing it wrong.

A current rating means nothing only a players real life value because their future ratings will reflect that. But ok Okay well I don't know Mcroberts ratings but Mason Plumper is a 77 but should be ready for a stock watch any day now

Trades have salaries, team/player options, ratings, and show total salary moving from one side to the other. That's my understanding of how we all post trades. Plumlee is a 76 I believe. McBob I don't remember, 74 or 75?

There are situations towards the end of the season where an overrated (but maybe not too overrated) player has a bit more value to a competitive team while a bad team wants to shed them. Rating can help understand the motives for each team in some circumstances.

Wait... that's two 1sts for Mason Plumlee? For real? I don't see any explanation where that's a sensible deal but I'm waiting for Kevin Hollis nonetheless.

In what universe is it more likely that pick 25 in 2017 and 25 in 2019 net better value than Plumlee, pick 33 and 40 this year and a good 2nd in 2020. None. I would have to be a genius to get a better player than Plumlee with any of those picks, let alone the fact that I am sending sacramentos 2nd this year I'm only moving up like 9 spots in this draft... I'm doing this to tank, because frankly Plumlee is a sw thread away from hitting an 80.

If you break it down as Plumper for a 1st, then 3 2nds for another mid-late probably closer to late 1st, it makes sense.
I'll accept pending Kevin's acceptance.

I suppose I accept, mostly because the Thunder can take a hit and still be amazing, but also because these are two long serving GMs.

I accept. In all honesty, some people may hate this trade for me and think I am getting robbed. I personally think Plumlee is up for a rating change and I think that rating should be an 80-81. He is probably the second best passing big in the game behind Jokic in Denver. This move is also to help out with my depth verses the better teams. The sim has shown that Morris gets eaten alive when going up against big PFs e.g. Gasol, Ibaka, Aldrich, etc. This is essentially a win now move. I like my team comp with Boogie and Durant, but I don't think I can come close to winning a championship without extra production elsewhere (which will end in a bad free agency for me this off-season).
On another note, Plumlee's contract is a higher asset for me as I don't have to worry about him until two years from now. Also, McRoberts should probably be lowered at this time and that would hurt my roster even more in terms of depth. I kind of look at this as a trade like the Cavs did for Mozgov. It might be two firsts, but I am getting back a high second rounder and other seconds that I can either use for another trade or hold on to. My last reasoning for doing this trade is that I don't really follow college ball like most people here. Outside of the top players, my talent study is nil. It would serve me better to receive a quality player than to take a stab at some random guy in the draft.
