Accept, I like the prospect of Nurkic and a pick this year to keep my team young, while I get rid of Jrue that is impeding my plans to tank. Rubio blows, and doesn't fit into Houston's future plans as they want to start Giannis at PG. This is possible given that IRL Jrue is most effective when playing off the ball with Tyreke as the PG, and can also hold his own on the defensive side. Charles Barkley

Just my two cents – don’t really like this for NY. Why take on that monster Rubio salary? You just said “Rubio blows,” yet you plan on paying him 20 mill for the next 4-5 years? When I first saw NYK-HOU I immediately thought it was a Jrue Warren swap. Nurkic got benched for Jokic, the 17 pick shouldn’t be that high. IDK. I like Jrue’s talent a lot. Think you could’ve gotten more.

Think you could’ve gotten more. See, everyone likes Jrue's talent. Everyone likes his "potential". But he has come up short from fulfilling that each of the past 4 seasons. Rubio's contract likely will be worth this in the future. It won't be a bargain, but it will look roughly similar to what he makes in real life. I signed him because I was unsure of the Point Greek experiment, and that is working out well. So I have no need for a distributing point guard who has trouble shooting. Furthermore, next off-season, with the cap increase, I should have roughly 20 million in space, and I would much rather have that space than the 12-20 pick. I accept.

I actually think Spike is getting a great return here thanks, Brian. in addition to the value to my pick im gonna gain by trading jrue for a pg that can't shoot, I think I'm doing decent here as well.

I don't love the Rubio contract size, but as the cap continues to grow, and as that contract continues to shrink itself, it will be less and less bad. And, Spike can afford it for now.
And, I still think Rubio is really good at the things he is good at, just don't ask him to shoot.
I like Nurkic a lot and a pick is a pick, I'm always one of the ones valuing picks the highest, in the 1st round anyway.
So, as much as the contract disparity for Jrue/Rubio initially had me almost thinking about a reject, I'm going to accept it.

Trade cannot go into effect until Dec 15th in game Which makes me feel dumb, because the odds Holiday gets hurt between now and then are pretty high and Rubio was at 14 pts 14 assists 4 steals tonight, last time I checked. But whatever. I get another scorer.

Yeah, I don't know why I was thinking he missed time this year for an injury. Forgot his wife was sick.

I accept I guess, I actually think New York gets the better end of the deal here, I'm not so high on Jrue.
I'll queue the trade until Dec 15th in-game.
