I would love to be the GM of a team in this sort of forum/site but realized this one is all filled up. Do any of you know of another site like this where I can be the GM of a team? Or possibly someone create another one like this? Or if I can search for sites like this? Any help would be much appreciated.

What roles do an assistant GM take on in this league? Deppends on the GM, my assistant GM helps me in doing trades, makes contact with other teams shopping my players, help me with my long-term plan, gives me second thoughts on trade offers and this kind of stuff... For example, he gave me the idea to build to 2014 and he was the mind behind the whole 3 team trade with Pacers and Clippers. I talk to him only once a week because he's been very busy, but it's a much needed help.

What roles do an assistant GM take on in this league? They can help the gm with different transactions but the gm needs to approve everything. They also look for players that the gm may like on his team.

And there are some assistants (D5 Sam Presti for example) that are a more important presence on the team than their GM. Josh Barber of Utah was the Indy GM when he entered the Trade Commitee.

Sounds like a solid way to get my foot in the door. Ultimately I would love to become a full time GM but seeing as how my options are limited, I would love the chance to work as an assistant. Should I PM people about a chance to work with them, or do I do it another way? Also, I'm a huge Bucks fan, considering I live in Wisconsin, so if you need an assistant Oscar, I'm your man!
