Just looking at the 2008 Draft. Houston Rockets picked up: 2. OJ Mayo 4. Kevin Love 8. Russell Westbrook 15. Roy Hibbert 27. Mario Chalmers Granted they had 7 picks in the first round, and picked Joe Alexander and Brandon Rush at 10 and 11, but wow.

I think that was just an amazingly deep draft year

Aye to that. I see 24/30 from the first round that IMO, were or are still productive players right now.

I just looked through all the drafts. Over the 4 different ones, it looks like I only kept 2 draft picks lol. Herbert Hill at 53 in 2007 and Brandon Jennings at 12 in 2009.
Also, since he's not here (I don't think?), I'll throw him under the bus- New York took Oden at number 1 in 2007 and Beasley at number 3 in 2008! Granted, he got Rose at 1 in 2008 as well, but talk about franchise-crippling mistakes.

He is not a bust in my opinion, as you cannot control injuries. Unlike Beasley, Darko, or other busts he possesses/possessed a lot of talent when healthy.

It's pretty interesting to go back and see how things turned out.
Here is Portland's draft haul from 2010:
12 - Ekpe Udoh 26 - Domonique Jones 33 - Terico White 37 - Daniel Orton 44 - Solomon Alabi 45 - Andy Rautins
Six picks and zero of them are productive players. That was a pretty bad year but that is still a who's who of busts right there.

The creator of the poll asked the question after an Oden injury. Most of the posters said "Oden is better, but I might Durant because he isn't hurt." Hindsight is 20/20, sure we would all take Durant now, but I picked 1st in at least one sim league and took Oden; he just possessed to much talent not to take him.

But honestly looking at the options after all those picks no one has really stood out as being a contributor besides Avery Bradley and Kevin Seraphin
