Portland Trail Blazers - Nene HilarioYear 1: $2,500,000 Year 2: $2,775,000 (PO) Nene Hilario will be joining the Portland Trailblazers in their chase for a title. The San Antonio Spurs made what should have been a routine decision much harder than it should have been with their commitment to Nene, with constant PMs and check-ins. But once Portland stepped it up as well, checking in and raising their offer without prompting, it was reduced to a matter of overall team talent. While the Spurs made some very strong roster changes this OSFA, including the trade for Jonas Valanciunas and the acquisition of Derrick Rose, the Blazers were very competitive as well, retaining Kyrie Irving while turning Tim Duncan into two very capable starters in Wesley Matthews and Marcin Gortat. With all that and Paul George already in place, the Blazers simply had far fewer question marks regarding their roster. Again, thank you JR and the Spurs for your efforts - you made this a much harder decision than I thought this would be. Best of luck with the rest of Free Agency.
