J.R. Smith will return on the following contract to the Oklahoma City Thunder!
Year 1: $9,573,024
Year 2: $10,626,056
Year 3: $11,794,922
Year 4: $13,092,363 (Player Option)
Total: $45,086,365
JR felt this was his best option. Much like how he stayed in Cleveland IRL after being traded there, he stays in Oklahoma in D5 after being traded to OKC mid-season. He's happy with his role as one of the better ball-handlers and heavily in the rotation at the PG/SG/SF positions here. He enjoyed the run to the Finals last year and believes he can help the Thunder do it again, this time with a ring at the end!
