lol the raises in the last couple years so small, seems like a mistake. If I was CP3 I would've demanded the max, and he would've gotten it.

Should've paid the utmost price if it is long term. Favorable Marvin Williams contract and the back end of this one are very good for Chicago. However, Chicago will be paying for three years and the rest will be played while Paul is in a wheel chair.

I think CP3 would've gotten it this offseason in real life if he had a real player agent representing him *I do not mean that offensively, you are possibly the best Player Agent D5 has ever seen* I'm just saying, the agent would've played hard ball and gotten that every couple million because the threat of him walking is huge. CP3 isn't particularly beholden to taking pay cuts either.

Actually, what we need is to not have 6 year contracts because the back ends of these max raise deals look fucking ludicrous.

Surprised we haven't already moved to imitate the leagues 4 year max, 5 with bird from the last cba. To Your other point, I agree CP3 should absolutely be getting the max he can get. We instituted the max contract this year to make sure contracts don't get out of hand (relative to what actual NBA players were getting), so the player agents should absolutely be trying to eek out every penny these teams can afford to give out.

Jeez Chicago already got enough help this offseason. They don't need CP3 to give them a discount, especially when everyone else would offer him that full max.
