Over 60 million less than his full max. In a year where everyone has cap space. WTF.

This is outrageous. I and I imagine 20 other teams or so in the league would've happily offered Paul his full max

Could have shout boxed that Paul wasn't receiving offers in the range he wanted. Or made a post about it. Etc

Guys, he signed. I get your frustration but its done. No, you clearly don’t get my frustration, and sorry but that response is so insulting. I invest a lot of time into this league and it’s upsetting to see free agency signings handled so ineptly. I’m especially baffled at how you’re okay with this, considering what you just paid Horford.

Guys, he signed. I get your frustration but its done. I think we're all just hoping for these kinds of things in the future. And, we've seen some of this in the past and thought we had discussed options and solutions moving forward.

maybe that's the best offer he got

maybe that's the best offer he got It was the only offer Paul Millsap received. It's now been a week since OSFA started. The contract is realistic, it doesn't have to break the bank.

Guys, he signed. I get your frustration but its done. Last year IRL in Free Agency Millsap Re-Signed in ATL in a 3 year-$58 million dollar deal. Contracts are at different stages here in D5. I don't think he's underpaid here at all. He is just signing a realistic salary with the team he left in FA, to stay with the team that traded for him and the team that has a future plan moving forward. Players have taken much much less. This is not even one of those situations because realistically a $20+ million dollar contract for any player is more than enough. Wade barely got that and you have to remember he is in his 30s. Paul understands he's still getting paid nicely while hopefully bringing in others to get back to the top of the West!! Welcome Home "TRILLSAP"!! WE LOVE YOU!!

I guess if anyone deserves a slightly below market contract it's JR. Congrats Spurs

Well screw your pity party. I am very happy to see Millsap return to the Spurs. This might be my favourite signing so far. JR's effort to improve the Spurs has finally gotten some long term results. They can stop being a joke in the league.
Congrats Spurs.

Could have shout boxed that Paul wasn't receiving offers in the range he wanted. Or made a post about it. Etc I think it is also valid to see it this way.. Why would he broadcast to everyone that he only got one offer after 5 days of Free Agency already? Players have pride too, it is not all about the money.

To each their own. When I receive offers that don't seem to be enough money, I tell people I'm waiting to receive more offers with more money in them. If those offers never come, then there are different ways to go. I would have probably tried to see what else was out there by just saying Millsap could use some more offers. Don't need to make it sound desperate for money, just let people know that he's not getting offers.

Fuck if I had known he didn't sign for max, I definitely would have offered. Especially after seeing that he signs with one of the few teams that had a worse record than me lol
